This was more complicated than first appeared but mostly because of the supplied parts. I would not attempt this if you have never hung a door or window previously or know something about wall structure. Having said that, I have a fabulous sliding door on my bathroom for a little extra effort. But the specifics: -There was no groove cut in the bottom of the door so the T-piece supplied was useless. I bought after-market parts to hold each side of the door which are actually superior and allowed me to hang the rail a little higher. - There were no handles supplied. But aftermarket products were good. - The instructions showed five holes in the iron rail where my physical rail only had four. I was supplied five lag bolts. - My door frame ran into a wall at 90 degrees and the ceiling sloped down to the wall above the door so the instructions were only half helpful. But I was able to line up studs for the lag bolts as well as use hard wood for the backing board which was a plus. - I had seven bolts for the door hangars in my supplied rail kit. Three were shorter than the other four. It was the shorter that matched my door so I cut one of the longer. - The holes in the door did not line up with one being off. Fortunately it only needed to be slotted 1/8 inch to the upside and it is not visible. Given the door hangs, slotting to the upside made no difference. Having said all that it is a fabulous door that looks terrific after two top coats and made in Brazil versus some other places we import from. I would have given the whole package five stars if I had not had to slot one of the holes for the rolling hangars. The only thing I will add is that if you have more than eight inches above the door for height going eight inches past the door and four or five feet on the sliding side, consider an 84 inch door even if the existing is 80 inches. For my application the 80 inch door was perfect. Finally, I don't normally write such long reviews but despite the few technical issues I am really impressed with this purchase.

A Barn Door Has To Be at Least 84" to Cover the Doorway On An 8' Ceiling. Too Short!

I can't recommend this product , I returned mine at pick up time , as another customer noted , the groove in the bottom of the door is not made for you . The hardware that is shipped and instructions need the groove.

Door was fine. Installation well described and went together per instructions. Only thing was guide for door bottom--no slot in door bottom--so bought alternate guide at hardware store.

The pre drilled holes on top the doors to install the hardware did line up. There was about an 1/8 to 1/4 of a inch different. So now when the doors are hung you can see the crooked hardware. It’s very noticeable. I order 2 doors and both were the same. There is really no excuse.

Pre drilled mounting holes were crooked and there was no groove cut in the bottom of the door for the track.

Easy to assembly and all of the needed hardware was included.

This is a nice door, however, they should tell you that you need at least 87" to hang it. I only have 83" so my dilemma is to cut 4 inches off the bottom of the door. Adds a bit more work, but should look okay.
