I got this hat mainly because it looked cool but thought the lights would come in useful for camping. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to go camping but used it around the house at night. There aren't really any lights outside my house or in my shed, and I struggle sometimes trying to get big tools or boxes in my shed with a flashlight in one hand. This makes it so much easier to be able to use both hands. The little box in the band is a bit annoying but not by much. The LED's are bright and a lot nicer than incandescent, which would burn out or break quickly. I don't know about the longevity but if it does break it will simply be just a hat, which is fairly comfortable.

I live in a rural area without street lights. The lighted camo baseball hat is great for taking our two Labs out in the evening, We can easily handle the dogs without the worry of how to carry a flashlight. The adjustable tab makes it easy to fit ones head. The LED light is very bright, and covers a wide span. I would recommend this cap to friends.

So many times in the past I could have used a hat like this. Going thru my shed at night which doesn't have electricity. Working on the car but not getting very far because of having to hold a flashlight. The 2 sets of LED lights - for near and far illumination - are an excellent idea. Crisp, cool white lights that are good and bright and don't flicker. Easy to turn on and off - handy location of the switch on the underside of the brim. Hat is sturdy/durable, simple to adjust its size and the Real Tree design matches my jacket. I see many more uses for this little number.

This is a great hat and a great value. Its way more comfortable than wearing a headband lamp. For about the price of a quality hat you get a headlamp thrown in. The cap is well made and comfortable. It is a "Structured" hat meaning the forehead section has extra fabric to keep its shape. The velcro closure on the back allows for a wide range of head sizes. The LEDs are bright enough for close up task work and for walking on a road or trail in the dark. There is enough light for good illumination about 20 feet in front of you with a little extra light to softly illuminate 30-35 feet down the trail. Another great feature is it won't shine in someones face when you are talking to them unless they are about a foot shorter than you. You can always adjust the cap up or down a bit. Something that you cannot do with a typical headlamp. It's not as bright as some of the better headlamps but will work just fine for working around camp at night or checking the BBQ or looking under the hood of your car in the dark. Also it is washable if you take the batteries out. The LED's are firmly embedding in the fabric of the brim so they won't move around. All in all a great improvement in headlamp design especially if you wear a ball cap anyway. Oh, the Real Tree camo is well done and a quality screen print.

Over the years, I've purchased and use various lighted products that either mount on ball caps or directly to the head to perform up close tedious work. They assisted okay, but always seemed to somehow get in the way. I did step up to a lighted ball cap, but the LED's were weak and not very ergonomic in getting my work area well lit.
