Those Pavestone "retainer" block are not good for home depot's reputation. Firstly I challenge anyone to put these block to their expected use, as a retainer block (if I can slide a block over the two that are beneath it with a solitary finger, I'm certain they will not be retaining anything of significance, such as the force of earth). The problem with the pavestone is that they could not possibly have been made any cheaper, the LIP that is supposed to hold the block in place is a bump.

My landscaper ordered a palette, come home to a completed retaining wall with stone that looks awful with the rest of the pavers. The color is orangey tan, purpley brown and steely dark gray. So disappointed the whole wall has to be busted out because the landscaper glued them. Such a waste of time and money.

Retaining Wall DIY Fun

Very disappointed. Against my red brick house they look pink. Landscapers were there and went to work so I have to spend time and energy painting them or live with pink and red.

Colors were excellent match to our home.

I build the wall over a weekend. Designed, went to HD, built. Very easy to install. My husband helped me to unload the stones from the car and to the backyard, but other than that I did it by myself with 4 small kids jumping all over me. The ease of installation actually inspired my husband to build a bigger wall with a walkway on the other side of the house.

Based on the picture, its more white and what you gave is more brownish. So dissappointed! I wouldn’t recommend this product.

What a joke will only allow you to leave an excellent rating and they are not . I bought 3 pallets 381 block , they are full of mold. I will waste time and water pressure washing them before I can use them. The delivery guy was great and that’s about it.

So I write this review as a first time do-it yourself homeowner. I had to replace all my wood landscape from 1993 and decided to go with this. I could not be happier that I went with this product. The ease of building the walls was outstanding and solid when finished. I did my research and started with a item four foundation (12" x 12" trench packed and tamped) and set each block into the item four with a two foot piece of 4 x 4 pounding until level. I used item four behind the wall before back filling with soil for drainage and glue the last course with Locktite PL500 adhesive. I use four pallets of stone pavers for this project as seen in the picture.This project came out far better than expected, i highly recommend.

Used them for a flower ring around a tree. Turned out great and went together really fast.

I think they look great stacked 3 to 6 bricks high. The color is perfect

I live on a corner lot. I built a 13'+ circular flower bed on my corner with 3 rows of 46 of these each, 188 total. It doesn't take much skill, getting the bottom row level with a little extra space because higher row circles are a tiny bit smaller is the trick. The final product looks great and my wife loves it. I used the 'terra cotta' color for most of the blocks, but I used a total of 9 'sand' blocks for the four compass points (6 for the North arrow and 1 each for East, South, and West). The 188 blocks cost a little over $400 total. I bought them in batches as I was ready for them. I spent additional money on sprinkler reconfiguration and removal of a tree stump from a tree that previously was on that corner..

Excellent quality and very good price. I used them to enclose my flower bed and it looks great! I should have made this choice years ago.

The young man in the garden department helped me load the blocks and 7 bags OF creek rock ON THE PALLET AND THEN INTO OUR CAR. Very grateful for the assist.

Great price and quality. We used these to make our firepit.

We used these to install around the new bushes in the back yard. They were set three stones high in a circle. It was easy, fast and they look great.

I made a large above ground koi pond and the dimensions and end curves allowed me to create the pond of my dreams

I used these same blocks last year around my front flower beds. I've had a lot of compliments on them, so I decided to finish going around the rest of my house. Hard work but the outcome was worth it.

They are affordable, no special skills or equipment needed, and you imagination is the limit of what you can do with them. Can be small projects like mine or something more elaborate.

Product was easy to handle and we completed our retaining wall quickly and good great. Make sure you are working with level ground.

I sent the rock back. When it arrived, the rock was yellow bricks. I specifically ordered Red Brick. Never even unloaded it from the truck. Just told them to take it back. So my son and I went to Home Depot and picked up 2 pallets of brick. BY HAND. loaded them in the truck and drove 4 truck loads to the house ourselves. Ordering colored brick online is a crap shoot, a roll of the dice. because I did not get what I ordered or wanted. If you go pick it out and hand load and take it home yourself. You'll pretty much get what you wanted. The bricks are fine and look great. It's just the online ordering I would stay away from.

The product is a lot more tan than in the pictures. I was hoping for a gray stone with a natural look, but what these are is a 50/50 swirl of tan cement and gray cement. Didn't exactly give the color I wanted to match to my black and white house. Structurally everything is fine, not a broken block in the lot.
