For a sunny Florida yard we would recommend Pennington Argentine Bahiagrass grass seed or Bermudagrass grass seed. Contractors mix is more for a contractor who needs really quick results. It contains rye seed which comes up fast and dyes in the sun.

I wouldn't buy this kind again.
I purchased the contractor mix and it did absolutely nothing. I've always bought Pennington and this is the first time this has happened.

Seed not labeled on the bag.
Did a total lawn renovation last fall. Seed come up great in about 3 weeks. Now that the grass is mature it is thin with thick blades if you want to call in that. Once you cut you have a brown color. Grass length is 3 inches and I have a sharp blade on my mower. After reading some reviews I would say it might be majority if not all Bermuda. Not what I wanted. I've been over seeding with Ky 31 and it is coming up well. Hopefully it will choke out the contractors mix.

Did not germinate at all
After aerating and spreading with the recommended starter fertilizer, the seeds did not germinate. $200+ down my drain.

Our home’s main sewer line needed to be replaced in...
Our home’s main sewer line needed to be replaced in January and we lost half our lawn as a result. We have a St. Augustine lawn and cant plug until May. Needed a stand-in grass to prevent soil erosion and compacting until then. We have awful sandy clay soil so we added a thin layer of compost, rented a tiller to combine/cultivate the ground, put down this seed and covered with straw. Within 2 weeks we had significant growth. Another 2 weeks and we were safely ready to mow. Great price. I didn’t have to do a crazy amount of watering. I’d say this grass seed lives up to all claims!

Worked Great!
Bought a bag on a whim for the back yard where the dogs relieve themselves. Was shocked at how quickly the grass grew and how plush it was. At a new home now and will do it again.

Product is good but had to compete with the mice.
The grass seed is excellent. My only issue was evading the mice running around the garden center. Please hire a better pest exterminator your current one is not doing a good job.
