I have not seen any hummingbirds since I bought the red hummingbird nectar. I saw some birds with the clear, but not red nectar. I should have stayed with clear. I guess I thought maybe since I had them with the clear, that the red nectar would attract them more. Not had many hummers at all this year. I will be going back to the clear.

Sometime the Red Hummingbird Food is hit or miss. We have started to see some activity around our feeder, but it isn’t a constant return. But it may be the crazy season we are having. We went to the colored water after making our own last year. It’s much simpler to use the ready-made formula.

So far, I have seen 1 Hummingbird that sampled this and it hasn't returned. Don't know if this is due to the decline of birds due to the bird flu or not.

We are sorry to hear about this! It can take time for birds to adapt to a new source of food. We recommend giving it a few more days to see if the hummer returns!

If there was ever conclusive evidence that red dye caused harm to birds we would immediately remove from shelves. Health and safety of the birds is our number 1 priority.
