I previously used this Phifer spline when I rescreened my windows, so when my new pup tore up the bottom of my screen doors, I used it again. I used this Phifer 0.140 in. x 25 ft. black screen spline along with their pet screen to rescreen the bottom sections of 2 screen doors. These two products worked well together to fix my screen doors, pup has not been able to tear it up.

This spline worked really well with their Spline mouse. I did 11 screens with Phifers "BetterVue" screen fabric. Some of my screens needed .125 which Phifer also makes and is available in store at Home Depot. The key to getting the screen tight (but not too tight) without wrinkles is to put the screen frame on flat surface like a table, and tape it to the surface. This will allow you keep a light tension and hold the frame in place as you go around the screen frame. I also needed to use a flat blade screw driver to push the spline down in the corners. I definitely recommend Phifer's screen products.

This spline was very easy to work with but also very durable. To make sure I got the correct size for my screen door, I removed the old spline and took it to Home Depot with me and matched the size in store. Fit nice and snug but was easy to apply and as you can see in my pictures, gives a beautiful result. Clean & Neat. Awesome. I will use this again when I need to rescreen! 25 feet was more than enough for my screen door which is almost 78 inches tall.

I’m glad I decided to buy 2 different sizes of spline. Leave it to the pro to decide which size to use, and this one worked perfectly.

Good quality, but sizing doesn’t really go with a standard 5x3’ screen replacement. You use about 16 ft of it and have 9’ left over.
