Exactly what we were looking for. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the item, considering the low cost.

Product very lite weight. Worked just fine to shovel ashes from wood burning stove and fireplace.

Very good sturdy shovel for cleaning ash from fireplace. My fancy shovel that came with set is too fragile for the heavy work and easily broke at the rivets. This shovel is better and unable to break.

great product and great price

This is similar to the ash shovels we had when I was a kid, but it's quite a bit smaller and is of even thinner metal. The narrow handle is too small for my hands and the shovel just doesn't hold much. Would rather spend a few bucks more for a more substantial shovel. That being said it was painted just fine and the construction is good. If you want a small one (and have small hands) it might work out for you.

The Pleasant Hearth Shovel is near duplicate for the mislaid. It half the thickness and seems handle smaller diameter. The result is that is somewhat more difficult to use because the reduced weight

The size, shape and finish was exactly what I was looking for. It seems a little flimsy but i used it once without a problem. So I think it is a great buy for a great price

Good, fairly solid shovel. I'm gonna use it to spread salt and sand on ice, so I expect it to take some damage, over time. It got here quick and was inexpensive, so I'm happy. If it lasts a few years under the torture I'm gonna put it through-5 stars, no problem.

Nice size, easily cleanable, good price.

Purchased this to remove ash from the wood burning insert. Light weighted ash remover. Some much lighter and practical. Heck , way better than fireplace shovel, which is longer, heavier and prone to spilling ash going to the galvanized barrel with lid, also purchased here at H.D. will definitely

Just the right dimensions, with the head of the shovel fitting between the fireplace grate "ribs" and with the handle being long enough to scoop the majority of the ash, etc. out.

Bought this when assembling some fireplace tools. I've found it is the easiest thing to scoop out ashes from the fireplace. No frills, cheap, and it comes in black.

This is a useful scoop, able to reach into the corners of the firebox. Adding a wooden handle extension was simple.
