It is an excellent replacement for my other log holder (brand unknown) that broke down after many years of use.

It is a very sturdy and holds enough wood for our indoor fireplace. Sits nicely on the side. We love the style ad well.

The Preston Log Holder arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The packaging protected the vintage black iron hammered finish. The unit required assembly but included the necessary wrench and took all of five minutes to complete. The dimensions of the log holder are 16" L x 14" W x 14" H. It has a very simple clean style that can be paired with the matching fireplace screen and tool set (sold separately) for a more complete look.

I got this as a present for my mom. She has a wood burning stove at her cottage and her old log holder was looking pretty rough. This is nice and simple and sturdy. No complaints so far. Try putting something (like a small dropcloth) under it to handle the dirt and leaves and stuff that =fall off the wood. That way when the log holder is empty you can just pick it up and empty everything into the trash without sweeping.
