I purchased two of these within a couple weeks. They fell apart a couple days apart. Have had for less than 6 months. The hose detached from the coupling and could not be fixed. A total waste of $40. Do not buy.

    horrible
we bought a few of these hoses as it was nice to have them shrink back up when your done with them. we have not had them more than a few months and all of them have now popped and ruptured making them useless. waist of your money here. just buy a regular hose and spend the time to wind it back up.

Sprang a BIG leak within one week of light use. I have purchased pocket hoses before and I know they are not durable but so far none has failed this quickly.

Executive Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE. It does not last long at all. It will disappoint you. Have bought a total of three of these Pocket Hoses. The first one lasted a long time - over a year, so I bought another when it finally broke. The second one broke within two weeks at the nozzle. I couldn't figure out a way to fix it so I threw it out. Swore I would not buy another again. About a year later I move and need a hose, so I thought okay one more time. This one lasted about 3 weeks when it burst in the middle of the hose. I will NEVER buy one again. WORST HOSE EVER!!!! Horrible quality.

Perfect hos to drag around! Lightweight and doesn’t get all tangled up like the plastic curling hoses or kink like the traditional hoses. The water drains out, making it small again....to more than fit well into my hose storage pot. I will be getting more of these!

I bought two of these Pocket Hose Ultra hoses just over two months ago. Last week, one of them developed a pin hole leak in the hose that immediately burst. The second hose did the same thing this morning. I didn't use them roughly in any way, just normal use. Unfortunately, these hoses can't be repaired. Once they burst like this, they must just be thrown away. I like the concept, but they need to be more durable. They advertise these hoses as being very strong, I just wish that were true because I really like the concept.

More leaks than the State Department!
Why on earth would Home Depot keep selling a product with such poor reviews? I used it twice and it developed two or three pin holes nearly immediately. Sometimes you can't improve upon Perfection. Just buy a good old garden hose. If you're too weak to drag a garden hose around, pay somebody to do your gardening. That is the bottom line.

                Easy Use
it's nice to just unpack, connect to faucet and use. When I am done with the hose, I let it drain and curl in into a flower pot for easy storage. Plus the cost was very economical. $19.97. I saw the same product at Handyman of Hubbard...$39.99.

                Burst after just one year
This hose starting to "sweat" after about 9 months of use. It outright burst after about a year. We kept in garage, but never in direct sunlight. Would not recommend unless you don't mind replacing it frequently. As far as coiling/un-coiling, it did that pretty good.

                  Great storing hose
Works as advertised; dries and stores in a small space; expands to it's full length when attached to a spigot. Also attached to the utility sink spigot in the garage.

Easy broken. Since I threw the whole pack when I started to use it. So I didn't return it.

                    Poor quality
Had the hose for 3 months, kept it in our garage in a container when not used and it already sprung a major leak already.

                      Hose blew apart
Worked great for the first 8 times I used it over a two month period to rinse off my boat. Today it blew apart with a 6" long rip on the inner tube and outer jacket (along the seam).

Greatest hose ever...a little too short though
Extremely lightweight, easy to put away. No leaks, works great. Wish I had bought it before. Could be a little longer though, just short of reaching all my gardens.

Nope, don't do it, it explodes!
Love the concept but overall quality poor. Ours lasted about 2 months. It is going back to HD.

                      Finally Got One!
Been watching the ads for a long time, finally decided to take the plunge. After reading reviews, was prepared for disappointment. But, all seems to work fine; it is a nice weight, and compact, altho it doesn't shrink like on tv. I plan on following the care directions, and treating it carefully, so as anticipate a reasonable life span for the hose. I really do like the light weight and ease of storage.

                      Poor Water Flow
This is Pocket Hose with BRASS fittings. The label says "NEW 3/4" Hose" but they fail to say that the fitting only has a 3/16" hole. It has very low water flow.

Poor Quality, Ruptured after only a Few Months
Our condo has an outdoor garden terrace with no water supply. I run a hose from a connector under the kitchen sink. While this product is very easy to set up, it burst after only a few months use. Fortunately, the split was outside on the terrace. The mesh that surrounds the inner hose is very poor quality and eroded in several places (see image). I've read the same complaints about other brands of expanding hoses as well, and would stay away from all of them.

                        Pocket hose rain barrel companion
I was looking for a light weigh hose to use on my rain barrel . As I needed to water my lawn and garden and from time to time fill up our pool this was perfect. Not a big bulky hose and fits perfect on my home depot rain barrel. Will be getting another of each soon. great prices.

Love the concept hate the hose
The hose worked great for about a week then it sprang a leak. I returned it to Home Depot and they exchanged it for a new one, this one lasted about another week. All I have used it for is watering 7 planters in front of our house. I only turn the tap on less than a 1/4 turn as I am watering delicate flowers, my driveway gets as much water as the flowers from the leak. The concept I like as I let it curl up under the tap where it will not get walked on or driven over. I am not going to bother getting another I will continue using this one until it falls apart, then scrap it. Sorry I could not give a positive response as it was disappointing to me after watching the commercial .

Wife loves it, me...not so much.
My wife is physically challenged and loves the light weight and ease of storage. This is not the first one we have used and the first one failed within a few months. Cautions: 1) Don't stress the connections by pulling on the hose. 2) Don't leave under pressure with closed nozzle (or connected to soaker hose). 3) Do store hose when done (coiled in a flower pot is good) do not hang on a peg. Use common sense and don't believe the TV commercials, this is a lightweight hose hose take care and it should give you acceptable service.

                        expanding hose
After just two weeks of use, the hose developed a leak.Thinking it was a fluke, I bought a second hose and it also developed a leak after about 2 weeks again - see attached pictures. The inner rubber tube walls are too thin to keep expanding and contracting - poor quality of materials. Having not kept the sales slip, I could not return them.

                        Light and Easy
Hose is light and easy to maneuver from the deck to the yard, even while using a cane.

                        garbage
(only gave it 1 star because I had to) 2nd hose rendered useless in 2 months. 1st one developed a hole. Home Depot was good about an exchange for a new one. Despite always turning the water on and off at the house with the hose running, so there was absolutely no pressure build up, my 2nd hose burst at the connector. This item is snake oil. Home Depot should not sell it.

I purchased 3 of these hoses. The first one burst on the second use and I'd already thrown away the receipt. The second one just blew, wonder how long the third one will last? Out $60+ and most unhappy!
