Too Short
We had one of these and after many years the plastic housing broke so I purchased this as a replacement, Screw holes in the same location, looks identical, except - the pin is about an inch too short so it does not engage the plate. Even if the pin reached the plate, the spring pops it open. Worthless.

Home Depot used to sell the Anderson toe kick...
Home Depot used to sell the Anderson toe kick lock that was GREAT!!! This one is mostly cheap molded plastic... I’ll continue to look for the Anderson one before I throw this one out....

The lock fit perfectly, installation was a breeze. My only gripe is a lock made almost entirely of nylon. Why? It's a guarantee it will fail sooner than later. I bought 4 locks in order to be ready when, not if, this one breaks.

Hey, the reality is that this is a kick plate lock, so I feel it should be made of metal not plastic. I installed the lock 2 weeks ago, and it is already broken. Knowing this is a cheaply made product, I bought 3 because I knew it would break.
