Repaired door latch

Dropped right in to replace old broken latch. Easy fix!

Just to let installers know that the screws that come with it are too small Make sure you keep the old screws and you need to drill the holes bigger that the screws go through.

My experience has been that I have to buy 2-3 of these to find one that works. In addition, had to replace after two years.

I used the 45 degree key slot version of the Prime-Line Mortise Lock as that was the right fit for my door.

Fit perfectly and was easy to install. Hope I don't have to buy another one but would if necessary.

They are built strong except for the spring. I have 2 patio doors in my house. In the last 16 years I have replaced at least12 of these locks. I have saved some of the bad locks, hoping someone would come up with a way to replace the spring.

Did what it was supposed to. I wasn't sure which type, vertical or the other I needed, but this one worked fine.

Broke the same day do not recommend it.

Easy swap for existing worn out latch mechanism in a sliding door. Saved a ton of money not calling a locksmith.

It fits, it works. I change it out about every 5 years because of fatigue.
