I recently purchased a home and had a slider door with a faulty lock (the spring had broken so the lock would continually fall in). The videos on the product made determining which unit I would need very simple. Swapping out the unit was very simple thanks in part to very clear instructions. The replacement has been working like a charm and was a very affordable DIY fix.

Perfect replacement. 2nd one we bought in last 5 years. We do use our back door with this lock like 10 to 15 times a day with 3 dogs so it definitely gets used. Both fit perfectly and took about 5 minutes to install. Make sure you use a vice grip on the latch when removing old one and installing new one

This lock was easy to install. (Make sure to be careful not to drop lock in door sill. Follow directions. I used vise grip to hold and menuver lock in place). Every four years it seems to break down though. The spring is usually the culprit.

This is the 3rd device replaced. Crappy product with the spring constantly failing

Easy to replace. Make sure you check if you need the 45 degree keyway. I bought another one that was not a 45 degree keyway and had to return it. Easy replacement.

Fitting required some extra attention for a direct replacement and the mechanical operation was not as smooth as the original...but it works and that's what matters.

Worked as advertised. Simple to install. So far it Seems more robust than the original brass lock.

Screws included are not the correct thread size for the threads in the door. You have to drill out threads on lock and use old screws.

brought in old lock your servicer did not know much about them. He told me something must be bad inside lock. Took new lock home, found it was the latch that was bad took lock back to store.

Had just bought one not that long enough. Didn't last long ?

Excellent product, great fit. I added a small dab of oil on the moving parts and it is doing great. Locks and unlocks easily.

The spring last a couple of years and then they fail
