It looks good out of the box but it's put together with staples so longevity may be an issue.

Hard to fit, but look great

We bought these post caps to give a nice finished look to our deck and initially we were very pleased, but within months they are splitting and cracked and look terrible. Definitely not worth the $ wasted and now we have to replace w/something else.

Perfect accent

Nice looking post caps. Might need a little sanding before staining. Unsure about level of treatment but I will seal and stain. Fit to post is good.

Held together by little cheap staples. Small gaps between the 5 pieces that make up the cap. I put two coats of primer and paint on the whole thing: top, bottom, inside, outside. I'll see, if these hold together any better than what they're replacing.

I read a review that mentioned that these were splitting and warping, and I figured it had to be a fluke. I thought the same thing when we installed these three months ago and discovered one split in half just weeks later. Now - only three months after installing these on our entire fence - more than half of them have split or warped. The top separates from the bottom - and essentially makes our new fence look old and shabby. It is so disappointing. I chose these because they matched the style of our composite deck rail post caps, but these are garbage. I am really disappointed given the cost. Nothing should fall apart this quickly. If we had this kind of deterioration after ten years, I wouldn’t be surprised - but three months? That isn’t right. (We live in Maryland and have a very temperate climate; these were not exposed to extreme heat or sun).

Product shipped fast. All units arrived well made and well sized to fit both 4 and 6 inch deck posts I ordered. Looks attractive and durable and should hopefully last awhile after deck staining.

These post caps match the beveled caps on my deck posts but provide a nice flat surface to mount solar lights on the corner posts. They look great.

I spend a great deal of money on my red cedar deck, but since the posts were pressure treated, I decided to get these post caps. I bought a total of 10, and in less than 1 month 6 of them are cracked and two are warped so badly they are pealing apart from the posts. Horrible product!
