Great vac. Quieter than previous one. Amazing power. Use as central vac. Replace older Rigid due to slight over heating odor after more than four years use as central vac. New vac has more power and less noise. This is our sixth Rigid shop vac. All perform well. Inlet allowing disposable bags use makes emptying quick easy and hardly any mess. Very satisfied.

Solid built product

I have owned few different wet and dry vacs in the past and this is already my favorite. The general size if really nice. It is short and fat which I find much better for storing the vac and it never feels like it is topping over if you get hung up on the wires. I think the drain plug is a great feature instead of trying to pour out 16 gallons of liquid. All of the attachments, and there are plenty, store nicely on the vac. I love the feature for the detachable blower. I don't recommend it as a dedicated leaf blower though, it just isn't strong enough. It is great to blow the saw dust out of your workspace though. I was able to move around some leaves but only for short distances. It would take you longer than to just rake the leaves at that point but it was great for clearing of the driveway. This is a great vac!

RIDGID is the Cadillac of wet/dry vacuums. I've had one that has worked flawlessly for over 20 years and this new model is another fine example. This is a feature packed shop tool with a host of attachments, all of which can be stored on the canister platform. Its vacuum is powerful and it is very quiet compared to the older model. The detachable blower is just a breeze to take off and clear the work area. There is a nice long electrical cord so you can move around the whole room. The vacuum hose and attachments have a retainer that locks them in place so no more problems with the hose or attachments coming apart while in use. Another example of excellent design and execution by RIDGID. You won't be disappointed with this vacuum. Get one.

This is an impressive unit. The wet-dry vacuum canister is very large and heavy rigid plastic. The cord is a durable and pretty long. The vacuum sucks really well and the attachment tools are excellent. The tools are easy to slide on and off the vacuum. The thing that sets this apart is the detachable blower. They have it pictured doing leaves outside. I would say that is probably isnt the best for that. I would assume it might be better for smaller jobs like cleaning off a porch or blowing leaves from the garage. I don't think it would be great at doing an entire yard. Its very squat and wheels are a pain to get on. The cord reel is useful but, I wish it was retractable. Great quality and I would definitely buy again.

After decades of service by my old Ridgid shop vac, it was time to upgrade. While it still works fine, as I start doing more woodworking, I wanted something with more power to collect the dust. A true dust collection system is not in the budget at this time, and I'm still moving tools around. This 6.5 hp Ridgid vac will serve quite nicely. The hose and tubes that lock on this new vac make it easy to move around the shop, and the increased power provides noticeably more suction. The tool holder is much improved as well. Looking forward to using this new vac in my shop.

I recently built a pantry in my kitchen. This extension connected directly to my wetvac and allowed me to vacuum drywall dust, reduce vacuum noise, and keep the vacuum from being underfoot by relocating the vacuum outside my home. It really made the job much easier and cleaner.

easy to use, powerful, with plenty of features

purchased it to replace a 30 year old RIDGID of the same configuration. So far so good :-)

Not as powerful vacuum as I thought. i would have returned it, but it got dirty and scuffed up during use.

Great suction. Used it to clean out AC drain. Worked extremely well

Perfect attachment for vacuuming the deck around the pool.

I needed longer hose for my workshop/garage space. It's especially needed when I'm using my track saw and my dedicated vacuum is in the cabinet (quiet mode) I needed really long hose. This thing works out great. I hope it will stand the test of time. Delivery was fast and more importantly free!

It really truly sucks

Fits the old vac found in our basement and the hose is long enough to reach most corners of the cellar. Now that we have a hose, we can actually use the vac!!! Didn't need customer service.

Easy to operate easy to move around I recently lost my husband and all these household tasks have become mine and anything that makes that easier I appreciate thanks

So far it's good. Perfect size, has good suction and came with basic attachments. I like that it has a decent length cord.
