This is the 3rd battery powered caulk gun I've used professionally and it's by far the worst. Yeah, the Ryobi one is far better, same junk but half the price. For $100 I expect to have a caulk gun that doesn't literally come apart once a day. Also when you release the trigger, depending on the type of caulk, the bar will shoot backwards and the whole tube will eject and hit the floor. At least with my cheapo Ryobi, I got what I paid for instead of this overpriced piece of junk.

I own 20 Ridgid 18 volt tools, selected Ridgid to replace all my old FireStorm tools because of the LSA that included batteries. That's what failed on the FireStorm. I bought this caulking gun to do a siding project, figured I already had plenty of batteries. It really didn't work out so well. Uneven flow for a few tubes then just stopped working. Had gotten service on another tool under the LSA, it took a long time to get it fixed (and they just replaced it rather than fix it). I have moved since then, the 3 closest service locations listed on the Ridgid site no longer service Ridgid cordless tools. Next one is over 75 miles away. Now I am questioning the value of the LSA.

I returned the one that I purchased. It seemed to wind up for about 30 seconds each time I started a new bead of caulk. Tried it for 12 to 15 attempts before I gave up on it.

Did about 10 tubes of express 30 before it packed it in and the gun broke. Didn't want to start half the time too on first trigger pull. Maybe I got a bad one, complete junk

Brand new 3 days old frost time using it and it will not apply a solid bead, it jumps out after about 5 seconds every time here is a video example new tube etc. absolutely terrible. I own a 5 star award winning window and door company you can’t have meticulous work with this. Avoid at all costs

This won't push more than about 10 inches of caulk before auto-reversing, it didn't matter what size battery I used, or how big a bead I was trying to run, it would barely push enough caulk out to make a mess. I am very disappointed in this new generation of Ridgid cordless tools and batteries, from drills to impacts to lights, they are all significantly worse than their predecessors

The fully adjustable flow is great. The fact that when you let off the trigger it immediately stops. The only downfall is it takes a little time to build the pressure back up. I would definitely recommend this if you have to do any caulking jobs.

Gun works well. I have issues with the tube coming out of the gun though.

One of those tools where you don't know how much you need it until after you finally get it... Don't make the same mistake I did. This thing will save your hands from cramping and make your life easier. Works great with PL or silicones, bit of learning to dial in the settings for you but after that you can let it rip. Battery lasts forever, works great, can't ask for anything else... If you think you need one, the answer is "Definitely."

Madness life easier and nice control with the variable speed control. The tube holder would spin and was also difficult to rotate the tube within the holder.

I love Ridgid tools...except this one. Quality is decent but too many poor items with this caulking gun. First off the trigger is short throw and just lets out a small bead then you have to retrigger. Once you let up on the trigger, the plunger completely releases and you start over. No way you make a nice long bead with these issues. Don't waste your money on this unit. I am sure Ridgid will be redesigning this gun in the future. It is worthless as is.

the only draw back to this item is the feed rod doesn't stay engaged so if you are working over head it can be a pain in the ____. Other then that works great. Make sure to leave the speed rate adjustment on 1 until you get the hang of it.

My first 15 feet went fine, then the gun started shutting off and automatically engage the pressure release mechanism. This caused me to get caulk outside of my joints and onto the concrete. I would take the tube out and then put the pusher on the corner of my workbench and put a lot of weight on it while I pulled the trigger and it would push with no issues. However, as soon as I had a caulk tube it it would shut off in just a few seconds. I had a full battery.

First off I’m just a DIYer. But for me this thing is awesome. I myself was skeptical of buying at first but really glad I did. You just need to find the sweet spot with the speed control and once you do it’s a great tool. Doesn’t leak at all once you let off the trigger, isn’t heavy like it looks. I would say only downfall is the bulkiness so if you’re looking for something in tight areas this might not work for you. But other than that I highly recommend

Erratic flow after a few seconds could not make it work properly

Cannot push a tube of OSI caulk… had a Ryobi a year ago and had no issues.. I don’t recommend

Just seems like it won't last as long as it should and I have another battery that went out while using it
