I bought our fan to cool a room of a barn with no electricity for 4 semi-feral cats we rescued last December. Since this is the first Summer we have had them in the barn, I wasn't sure how hot it would be during the Summer, but I quickly realized I needed an efficient way to provide some cooling for the room they are in that goes to their outdoor enclosure. Borrowed a friend's same model (she's had several years from when she needed to provide cooling for her chickens), and I loved the way it worked, so decided this was the best route for the cats. During this very hot period of weather, I have daily place a 60+ounce container of ice between the fan and the cats for some old-fashioned air conditioning. They lay right in front of it, and I am relieved that they get adequate relief from the mid-day heat. It runs for 10-12 hours on the 2nd speed, which is a long time for them to have sufficient air movement. This fan will also benefit us within our house should our electricity go off and we need some cooling.

Yep, this works for recharging my batteries. Nothing fancy but it does the job.

Charger works fine. Surprised on the cost was reasonable for a replacement charger.

I bought the drill/charger combo from Home Depot. Batter charger died 2 weeks later. Trying to get it replaced has been horrible. Forget the lifetime warranty- it's not worth it. I'll go back to DeWalt or Milwaukie. Much better tools and 1000% better customer service.

Works good which it should considering that I used it once when I got it in brand-new condition - I expected nothing less.

Have not used as of yet BUT have no doubt it will perform as well as all my RIDGID 18Volt have to date!

Rigid makes a great product. Worth the price.
