There are two types of account that can be created for RIDGID products. You will be required to create a new account that is different from your power tools sign in credentials. While battery and charger are registered under Professional Power Tools, the vacuum should be registered under Professional Trade Tools. We understand that vacuums, by nature, generate noise due to the high airflow they produce in a small space. However, we want to assure you that different models have varying decibel ratings. In the case of the vacuum you purchased, it has an 78.5 decibel rating with the original hose attached.

That being said, we completely understand if this noise level is not suitable for your needs. As per Home Depot's return policy, you have the option to return the vacuum if it doesn't meet your expectations.

As the manufacturer of the Vacuum (not the batteries) we're only able to give you rough estimates on how long this vacuum might last of a new battery. This can vary based on a wide variety of attributes from actual capacity of the battery, the number of charges cycles the battery has been put through, electrical draw from each vacuum, temperature of the battery, how the machine is being used to vacuum and the type of debris to name a few. Nevertheless, if you're unhappy with your purchase, you may return or exchange the product at Home Depot within 90 days. While most customers are satisfied with the design of this vac, you may return the vac to Home Depot store within 90 days of purchase. This vacuum model is rated at 78.5 db. In addition, vacuums can get loud especially when used in an enclosed space. We highly recommend wearing ear protectors when using the vac for extended period or in a noisy area. On the other hand, this model takes VF3501- High-Efficiency Wet/Dry Vac Dry Pick-up Only Dust Bags. To install the filter bag, simply poke a hole on the cardboard and align the collar with the inlet. You might need to carefully stretch the opening of the bag with the gasket around the flanges of the inlet then press the collar all the way forward against the vacuum drum. Also, while a lot of users are happy with the performance of this vac and we're not certain what job you're using the vac for, you may need a vac with higher CFM. The higher the CFM, the more efficient it will pick up debris. This vac is rated at 60 CFM suction power. Additionally, there are several factors that can affect actual airflow, including turbulence in the hose and wands, restrictions on airflow where the cleaning tool meets the floor or other surface, increased resistance due to the bag filling with dirt, as well as filter loading.
