A smaller unit that complements two other larger, and more expensive, dust extractors is just what I was looking for. Works great, has ample power, and the size is convenient.

Excellent vacuum I actually bought two of these after useing the first one, but impossible to order accessories on line, and Home Depot does not stock them.

I purchased this item for my husband about 2 weeks ago and he thinks it’s amazing. He says it’s very powerful in the suction and cleans very well. The only downside is not having a brush as one of the cleaning tools.

C'mon Ridgid (and Home Depot)... Do better.
How can you sell a wet-dry vac and not include the foam filter for wet use? Okay, so you want to squeeze an extra $20 out of me. I get that. But then you don't carry the filter for this vac in store. So I have to order it.
Seriously... do better.

It is true that the WD4070 model does not include foam filter. if you are picking up clean water, the pleated paper filter can be removed. When picking up small amounts of liquid the paper filter may be left in place. Please note that when the filter becomes saturated, misting may occur at the blower port. The VF3700 filter adds protection for your vacuum during wet pick-up by keeping water-borne debris out of the motor. They use to give you 2 hard hose extension pieces. Now comes with 3 short extensions and when put together produce a flimsy extension. Bruce

Wonderful small Shop Vac Rigid 4 Gallon 5HP WD4070. Rid of the lousy black cheap hose and get the Rigid Car Detailing Kit with the high quality Orange 1-1/4 hose. You'll need buy separately two 1-1/4 extension wands. Instead of buying replacement Dry Filters get Pool Skimmer Socks to place over Filter and save lots of money as discard the Pool Skimmer Socks when very dirty.

This is the perfect tool to keep my car clean. The suction cleans the dog hair out of our vehicles in minutes—so much better than the car wash vacation For years, I had lugged my sweeper outdoors to sweep my car and trunk. If I could rate a 0 star I would. Bought this in store… $100 for flimsy plastic and clearly already used (dirt in canister and filter, which was bent). Do not waste your money.

Works very well right now. Good suction. I like the size as it is light, small enough that I can take it up the stairs easily.
4 stars because I haven’t used it much or for a lengthy time to see how it holds up.
I hope that it lasts me a long time using it occasionally.
Fingers crossed that this is a good unit.
