I just bought this today and after unpacking it, I am very impressed with its form and functionality. It has great suction and everything stores pretty compact. We downsized from an old Ridgid 12gal to conserve garage space. I like the long cord and the smaller diameter hose. This will be great for vacuuming our cars and cleaning spots out of the carpet.

Little Workhorse. I have had this unit for 5 years. It is by far one of the best tools I have bought. Powerful suction, great portability, and very durable. it has a quality cord that isn't too stiff and just enough adapters to make all jobs easy. I did have one clip break off on the rigid extensions, but since they are friction fit it wasn't a big deal. storing the parts in the back pocket isn't great. they often fall out. I leave the flex hose hooked up to both rigid pieces and then put the rigid piece in the hole at the back of the handle so it sort of stands up. That is the easiest way to store. Pros: Workhorse, can take a lot of abuse and still suck up messes. Portable, reliable, on castors. Cons: If using wet the amount of water is limited so it means frequent emptying.

      Great Portable Wet/Dry Vac
It's a great vac with lots of suction. It's small enough to carry around from job to job. The height of this vac is listed wrong. It is listed as 14.5" but is actually more like 16" without the extension tube stored which would make it even taller. Rigid Web site lists it as 16.75" You can use any of the 2.5 inch hoses and attachments. The hose that is sent has a built in reducer on the end. The hose that comes with it, is a bit stiff as some of the other reviews have said. There is a place to store all of the attachments, power cord, and even the hose. The pictures never show the hose stored. Maybe because it's not the greatest storage of the hose. According to the instructions, you wrap the hose in a loop twice and connect the two ends together then wrap in the same location as the electric cord. The problem is that the hose is made so cheap that it will collapse and kink if it's rolled that tight. So I do almost the same thing but just don't connect the two ends so that the loop is not as tight as to start kinking.

        Stiff Hose and Expensive Bags
Recommended with these caveats: 1) The hose is so stiff that it interferes with storage; it can't be wound around the vacuum body for storage; it makes a big loop that takes up a lot of space. The stiff hose also makes it less convenient to use. 2) Check the cost of the bags before buying; it costs $6 each time you empty this vacuum. The bags are essential in a wood shop; if not used, the filter clogs up quickly, and is very messy to unclog. (Are all brands of bags this high-priced now?) I sewed a cloth bag, using half of a king pillow case and a 7-inch zipper. The hardest part is connecting the bag to the vacuum cleaner; my first attempt leaks.

        Great little unit
I bought this to connect to my Ridgid Miter Saw. The Miter Saw has a 2.25 inch connector. So this unit would not connect directly. I went to Home Depot and sure enough, it hadn't occurred to the engineers at Ridgid that someone might connect this vacuum to one of their tools. Anyway, I found that a 2 X 1.5 Flexible Coupling made of rubber in the plumbing section would do the trick. I did use the hose clamps to make it all snug, but it works great.

Compact, easy to maneuver vac that is a great size for vehicles. Dependable and sturdy, although ours had a dented hose attachment when we opened the box. We have purchased several of these over the years.

Powerful vacuum for working in tight areas where large capacity shop vacs are too big. Used this for cleaning a crawl space. Highly recommended l.

The product is great. I had a problem with registration. I sent a copy of the receipt as requested and the cover photo on my Facebook account changed to THAT receipt. Very strange and unsettling.

This shop vac does the job. The filter is good for filtering out fine dust but needs to be cleaned after for more affective use.

Great. Loud. HOWEVER, doesn't include some basics.
Love the size, power, and portability. Also, the on-unit storage. I had returned a Dewalt 6 gallon Stealthsonic because it didn't have on-unit storage. Negatives (for me): 1. No brush. $8. 2. No wet filter. $25. 3. No vacuum bags. $20. Depending on your needs and preferences, you may be fine with the included accessories, but you may also need to drop an additional $50 (or even more; there are other accessories) in order for this vacuum to meet your needs.

          Almost perfect
The main flaw of this vac is the exhaust blows towards you as you are pulling the vac with the hose. I may rig up a diverter to blow the exhaust rearwards. Other than that it is a great little ship vac
