Good cutter just didn't like the lack of support around the blades or how tall the cutter was. Only 2 benefits i found were the adjustable blades (depth) and how quick and easy it was to change the blades. This is now my demo cutter.

The blades it comes with are thin and dull. I could not cut up our loop carpet. My scissors or box cutter outperformed this.

Cushion back needs an actual cushion for the hand . It’s painful to use after a while

Didn’t cut very good

This is the most useless thing I ever bought.blade doesn’t stay in place no matter how tight you have it. It doesn’t even cut thin indoor/outdoor carpet. Big waste of money. My utility knife worked much better.

Not worth the money. Use a utility knife and get extra blades. That’s much better!

I bought this to cut foam backed carpet for a basement project. First of all, the cutter comes with two blades installed. If you try to cut with TWO blades, you will have awful cuts. Remove the second blade and the cutting goes better. I had issues with finding the true corner of the folded carpet against the wall. This tool should be laid almost flat to the floor when cutting to give you a little extra carpet. I first cut at a 45 degree angle and I had a space of about 1/4" with no carpet. Decided to hold tool nearly flat against the floor, essentially cutting "up" instead of directly into the corner. This process seemed to help. This tool is still not perfect because the foam backed carpet is tough to cut, and no stretching is possible to fix small gaps. Attempt with a scrap piece to get the feel.
