Have been through two units and both have broken after no more than 20 uses. Same problem both times - fitting on motor housing for the feed line from the soap tank shears off. It appears to be brass or similar metal, but the fitting literally sheared off on its own (no binding or pressure being applied in storage or during use). First time around, I got a replacement unit via warranty process. Used the second one about the same time and just had the same issue occur. Do not buy.

Do not buy this pressure washer. After a day of normal use, I went out the following day to continue a job and a second or two after I pressed the power button a capacitor blew. Luckily that second gave me time to get my hand out of the way but I still have ringing in my ear. After searching Reddit, I see this has happened to some others. The neighbor 3 doors down heard it while in her house.

I bought this pressure washer only 2-2.5 years ago and has been used for light duty only bout a dozen times. It was stored in a dry, cool area. So, on the surface, it is essentially "like new" condition. Problem is, it started leaking lubricant of some sort from the front of the electric motor all over my (new) garage concrete floor, staining it in the process. Likely what led to other units exploding. Very disappointing for a major brand like Ryobi which I generally trust.

Pressure washer was used very little May 1/2 dozen times. While using pressure washer noticed it seemed to have less power. A little later POW!!! Exposed sending on off switch flying. Not sure if I should just replace capacitors or go gas lol.

I've owned the unit for two years and it just popped, smoked and stopped working after about six uses.

My pressure washer's capacitor exploded a 2 months ago, since the been trying to reach Ryobi customer service to get warranty service. Their website is a joke, constant login loop i.e. you logged in, trying to send them a message, it asks you to login again. By phone also impossible, was on hold for 2 hours before had to give up. Emailed 4 times, got the reply - " Our safety team will contact you shortly", 3 weeks - crickets. Today send them an email again. Will never buy any Ryobi tool again

Pictures and online videos show the garden hose connector and wand hose connector on the same side of the unit (one of the main reasons I bought this over the competition), however that is not the case when I received it. I purchased it in March 2024 and just assembled now with the weather being nicer and was surprised by this change. Having the connectors on opposite sides is inconvenient and the hoses get crossed with unit when moving it around during use. The website shows both connections on the left side (when looking straight on), the box shows garden hose at the front and wand hose on left, and the actually unit has one on each side.. so much inconsistency between website, box, and actual unit. Very misleading!

Worked great for a few years of light usage power washing some pavers. Turned on today and within seconds there was a loud explosion and a burning smell, the power button flew off, etc. took the top cover off and the capacitor had exploded.

I bought this pressure washer 3 years ago, and have been really impressed with its performance...until yesterday (5/17/24). While pressure washing my lawn tractor I heard a loud pop (explosion) and saw the on/off switch fly into the air and land several feet away. The hole from which the switch was launched emitted a wisp of smoke. What the heck? I removed the plastic cover which previously held the switch and discovered that the run capacitor (CBB60) had, in fact, exploded (see image).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent unit, decent power for plug in, wheels are very flimsy but will get by for most things, connections are great, wand seems good quality, quiets down when not using. Would be nice if it came with more attachments. Hose is semi but good quality overall.

We used this to wash our pool deck and sidewalk. Worked great. But after storage we found a puddle of oil underneath it leaking from motor. There is no place to add oil and there is no recommendation as to what the oil is even if there was a place to add it. Stuck with a Lemmon???

I purchased my 2300 PSI back in 2021. It worked great for the first year, then it would loose power, then it would be back again. I struggled with it, but ended up returning it with no difficulty. My next one lasted 1 year before completely breaking after 1 year and my extended warranty is expired. Going to try Westinghouse.

Purchased this pressure washer about 3 years ago and it has worked fine up until today when I was washing my house and the pressure washer made a loud pop like a pressure relief valve popping off and quit working. I found the on / off switch laying about 10 feet from the machine. There was smoke rolling out of the hole where the switch once was.

Power switch exploded and internal parts melted. There appeared to be a small fire inside where all the electrical components are. I only used it lightly on my deck and patio. Of course it exploded right after the warranty was up. I would imagine all of the good reviews are posted because they haven’t had it long enough for it to explode.

Had this pressure washer for about 2 years now. Worked great until today. I was using it maybe for 15 minutes and heard a loud POP, looked over at the machine and it was smoking from a hole where the power button used to be. I found the power button about 5 feet from the pressure washer and several small springs and metal pieces. It scared the crap out of me. I immediately unplugged it.

I really liked this pressure washer at first. It was easy to use and the results were great. On top of that, there is no shortage of helpful accessories and hey I’m not using a loud and stinky combustion engine. I used it probably five or six times in the period of time I’ve owned this but today it started smoking. It was a thick black smoke and it smelled like burning electronics. I unplugged it, waited for it to cool off and sure enough it looks like some of the electronics started melting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was easy and fast to assemble. Used it the first day to clean a concrete pool patio, windows, and SUV. Pressure washer worked great. It is easy to use. Good value for the money.

Very solidly built and plumbed, nice ergonomics for on/off switch, quick motor shut down and start up when operating the wand, nice big wheels for moving unit about yet remains solidly planted when pulling hose around, handy nozzle storage. Pleased with this unit, used it with no difficulty for car wash with foam cannon using handgun sized pressure wand. Cons: Hose very stiff, replaced with car detailer recommended flexible hose with great results; cord storage works but is awkward with bungee tie down.

I have mine about 6 months and I love it. I used it for everything in the house. Car wash, back porch cleaning, driveway and side walks. Highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started with a smaller model, also made by Ryobi, but it stopped working properly. When I returned it, the only model available was the High Performance. Although more expensive, I hoped it would last longer than the first one. After 2 years of being stored inside and used less than 2 hours, it too has stopped working properly. No more Ryobi pressure washers for me. They don’t last!

After one year and five months it started leaking like a sieve. It stayed in a heated garage. The block off the front of the motor became crystallized. Waste of money

I got about 2 afternoons of use out of this machine before it self-destructed. Ryobi’s warranty process is difficult, confusing and extraordinarily slow, so I took it apart myself to see what broke. Turns out, there is NO grease on the main thrust bearing between the motor and the pump and the ball bearings were falling apart. Also, there doesn’t appear to be any grease on the main motor bearings either, as it squeaks like a rusty hinge when you turn the motor.

I bought this machine because it sounds good that has good pressure in a electric machine. It’s fantastic to use less gasoline when the electric tools are available. But unfortunately this machine begins smell like burning electronics and smoke started coming out of the top of the machine. Since I bought the machine I have only used it to wash my cars. Once a month is the most constant I could use it. So the work of the machine was very light. Ryobi has to work better.

I've had this power washer for 1.5 years. It is used lighting to power wash the driveway, deck, and to wash cars. A little into washing the GFCI clicks, I check the plug and see that it is melted into the outlet. After yanking and pulling with pliers, I was able to at least remove the melted plug. For $300, you can do nothing but burn down your house.

Pretty easy to put together with husband and I working together(we are seniors) would like to have had the store put it together. It worked at first then it quit, we looked at water connection and water hose for kinks. We got it working??I used it to clean the cedar fence, worked good. I will know more about it with the next use. Plan on cleaning the brick front porch this week. Hoping I will like it better with each use.

I bought this a few days ago and it is been perfect for my sidewalk , gutters, siding, and driveway. Perfect size and weight to move around and the large wheels really help for moving around the house and steps.

This power washer exceeded my expectations and was very powerful. Highly recommend!

4 uses. #1 2020 no issue. #2 2021 had surging pressure - pressure build then dwindle to trickle. #3 2022, same thing. #4 Today. Yes, pressure issue, then 10 minutes into use it shut off. I looked back to see fire. CAPACITANCE CBB60 SH PO 250 VA caught fire and melted, it began to melt the other Starter Capacitance module (CAPACITANCE CD60 250 VAC 300UF) and Motor Shroud. The power cord was hot and popped my garage CB. Trying to call Warranty/Customer Service.
