Ryobi 24 in Magnetic Box Level. Has 1 horizontal bubble and 2 vertical bubbles. Both ends are made of plastic so if the level drops, you shouldn't damage it. Has peg board hooks on both ends for storage. The base of the level is magnetic and will stay firmly attached on most steel beams. Made of aluminum. Lightweight unit with two internal handles (rubberized coatings). Good accuracy. 24 inches is a good size for use in hanging pictures, installing shelves, etc. Since the base is magnetic, watch for inadvertently picking up nails or small pieces of metal.

I dinged it one star, because I thought the magnet could be a little stronger. Sometimess it holds fine and sometimes it tends to slide down a smooth-surface metal object. I found I had to hold onto if for a second or so after attaching it to help prevent it from sliding. It seems to be built rugged, though, so if it falls it won't get damaged with the shock-proff ends. The glass and bubble are very easy to read and seem to be very accurate. Being made of aluminum makes it feel a bit more substantial too. It has 2 grab handles that are well-designed ergonomically speaking. Just feels good in your hand, and the edges are very solid and straight. Would be cool if one of the bubbles could be made adjustable for 45° or other measurements like some levels have. But it's also nice to have the level bubble on both ends too, I suppose, so I don't have to flip it to see the bubble. All in all a very nice level to own. Just up the strength of the magnet, Ryobi!

What a great idea to have a magnetic level. If you are installing a steel door it will stick right to it. You can even stick it on the side of your steel rolling tool cart so it’s always easy to find (see photos). I like the look of the top and bottom of this level as it has a machined aluminum grooved pattern to it (see photo). I also like the shock absorbing protective end caps and the integrated easy to carry handles on the inside of this level (see photos). Altogether this is a great buy and I highly recommend it as it’s stylish, and built out of durable materials.

As a DIY, I use this handy tool to set level and sloping grades for general construction or home projects, such as framing, plumbing slopes, or shelf and picture hanging. What I like: 1. All metal box-style design maintains integrity of level even if dropped. 2. The underside is magnetized for hands-free use on metal studs or surfaces. 3. The smooth aluminum top/bottom surfaces make it easy to see site and marking lines. 4. The lime green painted side body makes it easier to identify the tool among other tools/debris. 5. The hard plastic ends provide durable surface protection against low level accidental falls. 6. There are two large handgrips integrated into body, and large holes built-in to both the plastic ends, for hanging the tool. 7. The shiny (unpainted) aluminum underside facilitates cleaning debris/mortar/cement/glue. 8. It's easy to read with three large bubbles – two vertical and one horizontal. The horizontal bubble is visible from 3 directions, and every bubble is clearly marked as to level or slope. The bubbles are encased behind a clear plastic housing for additional protection. 9. The size (23-1/2” L, 2-1/2 W, 1-1/4 D) easily spans typical stud spacing widths. 10. The lifetime warranty is a good expression of the manufacturer’s confidence in its product. What might use improvement: 1. The magnetic strength is moderately good. It seems to easily hold its position when set horizontally, but depending upon the smoothness of the mating surface, when placed vertically it could tend to slide down. This is a well-fabricated product, and my visual assessment is that it is designed for long-term durability. I would recommend it to a friend.

Sturdy, has impact bumpers on ends. Two hand holds make it easy to carry and place. The three integrated bubbles are easy to read and well positioned - one on each end, and one in the center for on edge use. Has 0.0005"/1" accuracy, which is excellent. The magnet isn't real strong, it will hold its own weight when the entire length of the level is attached to a metal surface, but it does need full contact to stay in place. Ryobi considers a consumable item, therefore the warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear. However judging from the robust construction I doubt this would be an issue. Made in china.

I had a different brand that was just too short. I mainly use this for building a large shed and for setting up my travel trailer. Really like the grip handle. The next best thing is the magnetic feature. I stick it on the frame of rv and level everything out with the power jacks. Great product and fast shipping.

I do like this level and the fact that it’s magnetic. It’s also very light. I gave it only four stars because I wish it had ruler markings on it.

Strong magnet! Another great product from the GREEN MACHINE!!

It's a good level. I like that it has plumb bubbles on both ends (vs a 45 on one end that I never need). The main bubble is very easy to see. Downsides - The long edges have a machined groove pattern. The grooves collect gunk and can mar surfaces if you slide the level. It's 60cm long (23.6"), not 24in. The magnetic edge is not strong enough to hold the level vertical.

Awesome little level with magnet. Love the Magnet feature and of course the Ryobi colors are always a must. Thanks Ryobi for another great product.
