Fantastic trimmer for the price

Great product, light, improved battery matches my other battery.

Very nice. Hope it is reliable

This tool is dangerous. The handle has the start/stop function but when you need to carry the trimmer you have to use that handle and that activates the trimmer. There is no way to comfortably carry it unless you remove the battery. Also, it shifts down when using it for long periods of time. I thought it was the battery needing to be recharged but it wasn’t the case. I don’t know why it happened.

I love Ryobi products, lightweight perfect for trim the bushes in my backyard.

The product arrived quickly. It was easy to use and ready to fo out of the box.

Much easier job of Fall clean-up - hedges, shrubs and tall grasses vs. trimming them by hand. The bonus was being able to use the same battery that came with my Ryobi lawn mower.

Hedge trimmer works fantastic. But after two bushes my arms feel like jello. That's the only reason for a r star instead of a 5.

Used once and worked as expected, easy to use much more than my gas unit was able to finish faster because it s lighter and the blade longer than my gas unit . Good product.

I love this hedge trimmer! It’s got a fantastic battery life, cuts through shrubs like butter, and was priced really well. There are only two downsides - 1. We’ve already had a family fight over who gets to use it, and 2. It’s so fun to use that I may have over trimmed every hedge I’ve worked on.

Purchased this item and was happy to see that no extras were needed. Too often cordless equipment does not include the battery, which can be pricey. Easy to get ready to use. A fully charged battery lasted long enough to trim hedges and bushes around my house for at least a half an hour, with power to spare. Blades were very sharp. Would recommend this to anyone looking at cordless trimmers.

Purchased on 10/17/2023. Safety function not working caused injury and almost lost three fingers. Emergency room visit. I would include pictures, but very disturbing. DO NOT PURCHASE. Went to depot directly from emergency room did not seemed too concerned, and only received a text from and adjuster to call them. Safety is apparently a self serve function at Home Depot.

Was pleasantly surprised at the performance and battery life

1) cuts well 2) the entire group and the entire handle contain trailer switches. Both must be pressed in order to activate the blades. This means whenever you were holding the device by one of the handles, you are activating the switch. If you ever grip the device by both handles it will turn on. When moving over rough terrain or passing that device from one Hand to another hand while carrying, blades will turn in. The device cannot be carried by two hands in an off mode unless you remove the battery. It is very easy to accidentally activate this deadly cutting tool you have to be extremely careful not to accidentally hold it with both hands at the same time if you do not intend the motor to turn on and the blades to start cutting. My black and decker simple but very old device can be carried by either hand or both hands without activating the blades since it has a different switch on mechanism triggered by the thumb and index finger on the grip, but not covering the entire grip

The tool performed well for a few months, but one day it seized entirely. When pressing the trigger, it clicks but the blades do not move. Expecting that since it had been opened and used I should seek warranty service instead of outright return, I opted to contact Ryobi. The only service center in my area accepted the tool but indicated it would take a minimum of 90 days to even examine it. I recommend against purchasing this item. Ryobi's warranty service is (unfortunately) terrible.

I haven’t had it long enough to use it yet. I’ve done a dry run with a battery to make sure that it functions and so far so good!
