Really like it and it does the job well but a battery is only good for about 40 mintes.

This worked great until it didn't. It started smoking 20 minutes into this last use. Could it be this Summer heat?? It was EXACTLY what we needed. Easy to use, carry, start, change batteries, and CORDLESS. So disappointing.

The trimmer got burn first time used.

I've been a Ryobi user for many years and these are the best tools yet. The 4.0 Ah battery has a long lifespan and the blower works well with a 6 Ah battery I have so I can easily do everything I need to do. I've accumulated attachments over the years and they're all usable w/ this set.

Blower works great, trimmer doesn't self-feed line or at least it isn't.

I've been with the combo for 3 months and the trimmer has burned out and it doesn't work

The battery kept turning off every 5 seconds with both equipment. We returned it.

The blower is ok good but trimmer literally went up in smoke after less than a year! I was trimming dandelions and the motor just smoked and got extremely hot. I have read this complaint in other forums as well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have used the trimmer 3 times and it has died before I finish my lawn. It is only 13000 square feet. Very disappointed because haven’t been able to finish trimming and not able to use blower because there is only one 4ah battery. For the price I paid it should be better! Not happy!

Better than expected

Easy to assemble and put together , the trimmer does not have a BUMP HEAD. It works by releasing a trigger for the line to advance . Did not work .had to stop every 5 minutes to re-string the line. Instructions say to use silicone , I DID. Still did not release the trimmer line. Also no strap so it becomes very awkward to hold while working with it. I was really looking forward to keeping it but I cannot WSTE time feeding the line every few minutes .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an aged expand-it product. Since it can operate as an edger and Trimmer in one tool that will reduce one of my tool heads. The battery took about 90 minutes for the initial charge. After that I was able to trim, edge, and blow. So much easier than having to get out the 100 foot extension cord and now without limitations. I put 4 stars only because I've used it once and not sure how it will hold-up. Note: Putting together the trimmer is easy. There are three screws attached to the underside of the guard that are used to secure the guard to the shaft. I initially missed them and thought they had been left out.

The string never discharges, constantly turning over to unwind and pull out manually.

We own multiple Ryobi products and are extremely disappointed with the trimmer in this package. Went out in the yard the other day to trim up some new growth of grasses and weeds. 10 minutes later I had a flaming and smoking trimmer head. AWFUL. Spoke to the retail outlet and they said to call Ryobi Service. Service Department referred me to a service center 3 hours away. BAH!! On the surface this combo looks like a good deal - it certainly isn't - substandard product

Love this very powerful Better than I expected

I thought that this trimmer has two strings, but it has only one string. I did not know that some models of Ryobi trimmers bring one and others two. I am dissapointed that it is not clear in the description of the trimmer in Home Depot website.

Works great! 2nd set I bought for another house.
