[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A small 6 1/2" Circular Saw that as handy as it is versitle. Using the finest wood blade made cutting paneling quick with the smooth edge cutting. It was Handy Dandy, just what was needed to remodel our kitchen.

I put this thing through it’s paces; ripping plywood boards to countless 2-by , 4-by and even a few 6 -by. I was sad to have to replace it but I am looking forward to another 10 years with this one. Straight out of the box , ands get near the same design. I did not waste time in tearing through the boards I needed for my recent project. My older one was pretty bad because when I squeezed the trigger on this one I was blown away on how quite it was (must have gummed up the old one pretty bad). It chewed through the cuts with the precision that I expect and quicker than I thought (I know I wait way to long to change blades)

I needed to replace some sub flooring in my house to prepare for laminate flooring. This saw was perfect. I'm a 5'2" woman and need light weight tools. It got the job done and my floors look amazing.

Fixed it by persuading one side of front bracket and adding washers.

I like the weight, the cutting power, and the size. I just wish Ryobi oriented the guide plate the same way they did on thier wired saws. This configuration seems better suited for a lefty. Being right handed, I usually trim boards with long end to my left so that I can hold the material with my left hand and control the saw with my right. But this saw has the support plate to the right of the blade ( when pushing it away from you). Meaning that for items like doors, where you are taking off a small slice, I usually have to switch hands with this saw so that the saw is supported by the material. Not really a big deal since I have a wired saw that’s oriented with the guide plate to the left of the blade.

Next step to make a diy track guide for it. It cuts for the little shop projects I need

Light weight but plenty powerful for occasional home projects. I use with 4A battery and 40 tooth carbide finishing blade for smooth cuts - an efficient combo. I built work bench with saw.

I have a ton of Ryobi tools and so far, this is the only one I’ve found to be a big disappointment. I used this to renovate a staircase in my house and needed to cut off 1.5 inch stair nosings. The saw is highly underpowered and would freeze up constantly. It’s fine for cutting down a 2x4 but for ripping down a 2x10 or even a 2x10 crosscut it really can’t handle it even with a better blade. Maybe the brushless version is better, but I’ll be going with another brand for the next circular I buy.

It is my 1st circular saw and at first i was a little skeptical about the power of it, but they did the job !! And i was able to finish the fence without any problems!!

Works great, I always take stock blade off and replace with Diablo blade.

Has good power compared to my other saw, surprising light weight and is comfortable I did however get a different blade because I cut plywoods with my circular saws and the original 24 tooth blade gives chip out

I have had this saw for about 4 years now and it has been great. It's nice to have the versatility to take this with you to work on projects even away from home. The saw is very lightweight and built very nicely. The trigger safety on this is a great feature. It keeps you from accidentally running the saw. There hasn't been anything that I dislike about this saw so far. It does meet my expectations. Please hit the thumbs up if this was helpful.

I was tired of grabbing an extension cord and my heavier corded circular saw everytime I needed it outside the shop. I have many other Ryobi tools so I picked this one up and was not disappointed. I used it to cut the 2x4s for the gate to my pool deck as well as the spindles along the stair rails

When I first put in the battery, all I have is the 1.3 amp hr. battery that came with my 18 v drill and pulled the trigger I was unimpressed . It seemed to be very weak and lacking in power but, then I cut a piece of 3/4 plywood for a flooring project I was working on and it cut like butter and fast no bogging down. The battery was only half charged but for as many cuts as I made it was more than Adequate for the job. I didn't use the blade that came with the saw but Instead I used a Diablo demon blade.Wow this saw is Awesome. Can't wait to see how much better it will be with a new 3 or 4 amp battery. Iam Impressed. Great Saw.A++++

I have many Ryobi products, by far everyone of them outlasted this useless circular saw. I don't know how others gave 4 or 5 stars to this saw. They must of used it only few times. I used this with no major issues 6 months, always kept it clean and follow the instructions just like any other tool I have in my arsenal. I always had great luck with Ryobi tools, so much so I even have their lawn tools, lawnmower, trimmer, blower etc. I converted many of my friends and family to this brand. However this saw made me loose fait in Ryobi. All the sudden stopped working, no matter what I tried, which I think I am capable of trying to do troubleshooting, this thing didn't work. I don't plan on buying another Ryobi saw. I don't recommend this saw to those need something reliable and always ready to do the work.

It helped making a dog house

Being a woman and working with tools has been a fear of overcoming. This has truly been very easy to use. I did end up having to get a 6V battery. Well worth the money plus I have several other ryobi tools I can use it on. Highly recommend the product.

Built two workbenches with this saw alone. They came out amazing.

Bought because the 5.5” was just to small. This easily cuts through a 2x4 with one pass. I like that it is battery powered because most cutting I do is not near an outlet It is comfortable and pretty lightweight. The base adjustments are easy with the wing nuts from thr factory.

I use this product to cut shelves for my closet it worked like a charm..do recommend to anyone doing DIY projects
