Nice to not have to drag extension cord out. Especially in this heat!! Just bought is last weekend and trimmed all hedges around my house. There’s a lot, and it worked great.

This thing is as powerful as any electric corded trimmer I have ever owned. Definitely worth it. Does chew up the 2ah battery so better get the 6ah battery if you have a large hedge.

Just spent two days using my new Ryobi hedge trimmer...love it! Runs quite smooth and quietly, but wades through some pretty dense bushes. Easily halved the time I usually spend trimming that 50' section of shrubbery.

I ventured into the battery-powered arena when I bought this tool and battery kit. I was using the tool yesterday when the blades stopped working. I also heard a grinding noise coming from inside the unit and stopped using the tool. Upon opening up the trimmer I found the small sprockets just below on the underside of the tool to be ground with teeth missing. For a tool that was used for only two seasons to be absolutely destroyed inside is ridiculous.

I have one year left on the 3 year warranty for this hedge trimmer and it is impossible to get Ryobi to service it. The hedge trimmer was registered on Ryobi’s web site along with a string trimmer bought at the same time. I also submitted a copy of the original store sales receipt to verify the purchase. After 2 years the hedge trimmer seized up and quit working so I attempted to submit a service claim to Ryobi using their web site. Unfortunately I was unable to submit a claim using Ryobi’s web site as it would not recognize the model number for the hedge trimmer. Next I called Ryobi customer service and they were also unable to get the web site to work so I could use Ryobi’s rapid service capability to send the broken trimmer back to Ryobi. The customer service representative suggested that I take the trimmer to a local outdoor equipment service center but none of those centers service battery powered equipment. Left with no other option I asked Customer Service if they could somehow initiate the process at their end for me to ship the trimmer in for service and was told they didn’t know how to do that and had to talk to their supervisor. Ryobi has yet to contact me with any resolution to fix or honor the warranty on my hedge trimmer. A very frustrating experience and certainly the last Ryobi product I will ever buy.

Like a lot just wish battery last longer

Love It!! Lightweight, which it makes it easy to use. Just what I was looking for. Would recommend!!

After years of using a corded trimmer I was concerned about the lack of power a battery operated trimmer would provide. This trimmer put that worry to rest! I love the "Hedge Sweep" it allows me to direct the clippings where I want them and not all over the flower beds. Seems to be built well but tell will tell. Until then I highly recommend!

Kept getting stuck on 1/2 inch branches. I took it back sorry it was too much trouble pulling 1/2 inch twigs out of the blades as I was attempting to cut the branches

It’s a great addition to the tool shed. It’s light, easy to use, does a good job and shares batteries with the other Ryobi products.

Surprising power. I was able to do my whole hedge with one 2 amp hour battery and i had power to spare.

It works as it claims. However, I forgot how heavy it would be for me once the battery was attached. (I am a weakling). So, I just trim a little at a time. Sure beats the electric trimmer I was using.

This thing is a workhorse. I wish I would have bought it two years ago. Must have for hunters to clear shooting lanes
