For some reason, RYOBI can’t seem to wrap line properly. I’m constantly having to stop working to take the spools out to fix the tangles. It’s not rocket science, RYOBI!

I had one of these that came with my weed eater, and bought the pack of 5. The one on the weed eater and 2 out of the 3 I've used from the 5 pack have gotten stuck by the line melting onto itself over and over. I have to take it apart and use a knife to cut and/or pry it loose. I've had 1 out of 4 work correctly, and it was fantastic. It is absolutely NOT fantastic when you have to pull it apart every couple minutes and cut the string loose and wind and thread the thing again.

The lines were stuck, not unwind. I will have to return them. Sorry.

I just bought a new Ryobi trimmer that uses a 0.08 line, bigger than my old one that took a 0.065 line. I normally wrap my own spools, but there are times when you just done want to stop to finish a job, having a spare spool or three insures you can keep working fast. I think worth having on hand.

Ryobi has succeeded in market dominance and I applaud them… unfortunately for me I was / am caught in their trap, but oh well their products for the most part meet my needs in many home landscape projects.

I like my Ryobi trimmer, and I got tired of winding my own spindles so I decided to get this 3-pack to save time. Well, I can honestly say don't waste your time. You will end up having to unwind and redo it yourself anyways. I have had to undo five minor knots, but this last time is great. Knot down to the core. See picture as evidence. I am embarrassed for you Ryobi.

The spools worked fine. Easier to install than the line only. And they did a good job trimming the grass. A three pack should last the summer season.

I liked this product so much that I went back and bought a spool of the twisted line. Works great better than the smooth line. I bought this product to have a second spool just in case the original goes bad. I have one at the ready when spool runs out while weed trimming. Photo of my ryobi central I. You get more spool per use than when you wand yourself. It still stalls and have to be manually adjusted. All these things should have an automatic feeder to self wand.

I would give it 5 stars except for the price!

Ryobi 40V Li ion trimmer!!! I bought the replacement spools and found they changed the feed rate with the new spools. With about half as many teeth on the replacement spool as the original the new spools feed string twice as fast. Add that to the price of the replacement spools this is a very bad buy. This is not a bump to feed , the line is feeds each time you release the power trigger, with less teeth it feeds almost twice as much line. Ryobi should be ashamed -- don't the make enough on the over priced spools??? Solution -- rewind your original spool don't throw that one away.

The thread line creates problems because it has tendencies to stay in a circular position when cutting the grass.

The line was not wound properly and broke several times while edging. There should guidance on which line is best for battery operated edgers/weedeaters.

Well this product does the job but the line is curled when coming out which sucks and the line just keeps snapping off and then I have to take it out and reinstall the line into the feeder hole!

The last two 5/packs I bought the first couple times I hit the auto feed, the line started breaking every 30seconds. I noticed the line was no longer wound smoothly, it was all overlapped to the point where I had to stop every time to take the feed cap off and refeed through the whole. I went through 1 whole roll in one trimming/edging where normally 1 roll last 4 or 5 trims/edges... Better off buying the refill package and do it yourself.

There is a weird wind pattern half way thru that is causing breakage. It appears on all. I’m having to unwind and then rewind to remedy.

Been using these refill spools for my trimmer, they work perfectly. But honestly they are ridiculously expensive for what you get

String does not advance properly.

WOW !!!!!!!!!! After my issue with a spool - and posting a negative review --- I glanced at other reviews ---------- they had the same problem.

Easy replacements for my ryobi trimmer. Good value since the 3 pack is only $5 cheaper
