These couplings are probably used mostly for joining lengths of tubing in new irrigation systems. But I use them to repair leaks in existing tubing and usually buy 3 or 4 at a time for extras when I have future leaks. For me it takes a bit of strength to push the 2 cut tubing ends all the way into the coupling, but once done, it works well - no leaks.

Needed 2 of these to go under a retaining wall and up and 90 to horizontal again when near the surface. Was a little hard to stick irrigation line in fitting but went in easy after putting irrigation line in cup of very hot water

Terrible. Hard to install, leak like crazy.
I am using 1/2 in line. I have inserted these solidly, but most of them leak like crazy. Absolute garbage. Do not buy these!

Can't get it on the pipe
Not easy to use at all. You must have to be super strong to get this to fit on the pipe. Very frustrating

      Terrible!!
One side of the line can sometimes be forced in one side, not always, but the other side can never be inserted, by twisting or any other method. It just can't be done. Then, when you cut away the connector to start over, you're left with a part that can't be returned because the small bit of line you cut off can't be removed from the connector. Every one I bought is like this. What happened to the connectors that go on smoothly and easily? Oh, yeah, HD didn't make as much money on those.

Would not fit 5/8"tubing without folding a lip on tube. Very difficult to install. Replaced with double screw end coupling which worked well.

          Leaks
Installed total of 3 before turning on water to check, found them all to be leaking. Turned water off and made sure they were stabbed in all the way, no issue there, they just leak. Given these are for drip system meant to run for log periods, a 3 way tee has 3 leak points, and they cost 5x alternative styles, I would not recommend. Looking forward to cutting these out and praying I have enough slack for alternate.

Difficult to work with. I could not connect it. In fact I ordered the brown t’s that work much better

This connector did not work on older (at least 15 years old, containing a green line along the pipe) and the newer .710 black flexible pipe (which I call "funny pipe"). I had to purchase a different connector at a different store that had a two-way-opposite direction twist which allowed me to tighten both ends. The Home Depot "fuse connector" would not connect and hold with the older plastic pipe.

There are plenty of choices when buying fittings for drip irrigation projects. I have found that to keep life simple I use Rain Bird fittings almost exclusively as they are reliable and work every time. Are they cheapest? I'm not sure but I am no longer forced to read the small print to see if the knock-offs will work on my projects.

The coupling works well. It was easy to assemble. You just have to make sure that you push it in there tight so it doesn't come back out. It's easy for me. I don't need much strength.

The Rain Bird coupling did not seal effectively to the tubing, so the connection resulted in slow leakage from both sides. In addition, once connected to the tubing the coupling could not be removed. I am currently looking for a compression style coupling that can be tightened to form a seal instead of the push in seal formed with the Rain Bird coupling.
