Definitely kills rats, but the light indicator hasn't worked at all, so I have to bend down to peak inside the chamber every time.

I have had these for many years , but in the last year or so quality of the rat zapper and electronic mouse traps by Victor Pest are garbage. They work for a week or so then stop working. I have gotten replacements due to the warranty and they do the same. Save your money!

I found that the noise the trap makes seems to scare them not trap them. Save yourself $$ and just buy the old school wooden rat trap

NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Very expensive rat trap that did not kill either the roof rats nor the ground rats that are living under a tree out in the front yard. Different baits must have been delicious because they ate the without getting zapped.

Use walnuts. Best way to trap gophers, caught 37 this year. Prob 60 last year. Lasts forever and gets job done!

Best that we have ever had

I’ve had a rat zapper for years (before is was classic) to control my chipmunk problem, worked great, but it finally puked out. I bought a new “classic” through Home Depot. I really like the low battery indicator, but the only way I knew something was in it was by the flies hanging around. So I sent it back, they sent me a new one. I tested it before I put it in place, and it doesn’t have a working ‘triggered’ indicator either. Sent it back, got a new one. Same story. Three new ones in a row? What’s up with that? If they got rid of it, why? You refer to it in 'step 3' of the instructions on the side of the box.You really need that indicator to work. If it did, I would give it a 5 star review. Finally managed to find the manufacturer's site. Waiting to hear back from them.

Surprise, the house I moved into had mice. I tried all kinds of poisons and traps, but the only one that was problem-free and a repeated success was this one. Drop one peanut in it, place it, and turn the switch on. When the light flashes red, just tip the trap over the trash, no mess (don't even have to look), and set it again. It took out more than 20 mice in one month. I had an infestation and didn't know. This trap took them out one by one, until they were all gone. Awesome. I read some people suggested something wet at the entrance for better conductivity through wet feet, but my peanuts never disappeared without a dead mouse so I never needed to do that.

At first, the varmint outsmarted the trap, and got the peanut butter bait. But a few days later, he was zapped. All is good.

The zapper is easy to set up.

Not a single rat killed.

A chipmunk dies in there when you put the seeds in the back. One time a chipmunk died inside and another animal filled it with dirt.

This is awesome. As an avid gardener, chipmunks are my enemy. They do so much damage. I bought 2 of these and in 1 week we had 29 kills. Highly recommend. Only negative is “notify of kill light”, does not work on either unit.

All I’ve been able to catch so far are geckos And ants that are taking over the peanut butter.

Great product it truly does the job!

Great way to control the chipmunk population outside and catch the occasional mouse that gets into the pantry. Humane, quick and clean. I purchased these to replace the ones I've had for years. Definitely recommend.

Works great killed 15 mice already .

I originally order 2 units they worked so well . That I ordered 3 more .. Had a mice infestation in a storage / spare room where we also kept 2 birds in cage. 2 units are more than enough but figured just in case we need any more in any other part of the house I will have them . Easy to use and caught 6 mice in 2 days ...thank you
