This camera is great for someone who lives in like an apartment or something of that nature. It’s extremely easy to install it. After installation, you just download the app and it literally walks you thru the rest of the process step by step. You simply remove your peephole and screw the camera in where ur peephole once was a voila! Crystal clear picture! Spot on motion detection & 2 way microphone where you can actually talk to someone at ur door from ur camera app. It’ll also pair right up with ur other Amazon devices like Alexa, etc.

Works reliably. Super easy to install , no wiring needed. Crystal clear view. Easy to navigate all the different awesome features the app has to offer. Just wish the battery kept a charge longer.

I choose this product because it meets the requirements that I need to use for my family.& I am very satisfied with that, I have been using the product for 7 years.& I also buy the products. different from this brand because I trust the functionality the product gives me.

The ring camera is a good concept but the batteries don’t last very long when we first got it. It lasted for a few months and we’ve had them for at least six months and they work very well. I think a lot of people half of America has them if you don’t have them you should get them. They’re pretty cheap and they work well.

We had this camera installed on our front door on a busy urban street since its release in June 2019. The Peephole Cam isn’t perfect, but it has worked reliably during hot and cold seasons, rain, snow and high humidity. Ring has continued to improve the camera’s feature set, making this device more effective than it was when released.

Ring sets the standard for consumer video surveillance and is a leader in providing a platform for a community awareness. While video does not stop the bad things from happening but, it can deter crimes of opportunity and lets you know what happened on a bad day. I like everything hardwired and was skeptical about using a battery powered unit. I was wrong, the battery life is insane. After a week of use I was still at 93% charge. The peephole camera was easy to install. Not only can you view the images on your mobile device, you have a physical peephole that works regardless of power and wifi. The software is user friendly, feature packed and you can set it up on multiple devices. Phone notifications seamlessly connect you to the device with audio and video. All the bases are covered, it can detect motion, understand knocking and has a doorbell button. You can turn on and off detections and set zones that meet your needs. There are so many great things that I’ll just say believe the hype. I am going to focus on an issue that I didn’t think about when getting the device. I have a screen door with a glass insert that obscures the cameras view if it gets foggy from the cold weather outside or droplets of water on it when it rains. If you are getting it to protect your deliveries, maybe consider the external mounted doorbell version. This one is great for people that like to use peepholes and want to monitor people entering and exiting. When motion is detected, it will record inside the house as the door is opened. I love this technology, it’s a really great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very pleased with my new Ring Peephole Doorbell! It was fairly easy to install. It comes with an adapter extender that you WON'T need if you have a standard door thickness. The instruction manual is basic with few pages and good illustrations. Please note that you also need to read the written instructions on it. My hubby insisted on helping me to install it, after removing our standard peephole, which was previously installed. He is a bit "heavy handed" installing, and I have one major suggestion to improve the installation directions: please note in big red letters to use extreme caution when installing as not to damage the camera's flex cable. This is of utmost importance!! Our flex cable became damaged during installation, and luckily, it comes with a second flex cable part in the box. If it becomes damaged, your camera will be black and will not work after installing. I learned this information from reading the very helpful troubleshooting information on the app that you must download onto your phone, tablet, or pc., along with installing and setting up the device. The app has an easy step by step set up guide that is easily followed with a degree of normal short patience. Note: you will be connecting this device to your home wifi. After taking the device apart and replacing the damaged flex cable, I reinstalled the device and battery and needed to log out and close the app, turn off and restart my phone, and log back in, and the camera and all device options worked perfectly!!! The picture is very clear! The motion detection is spot on. The doorbell is loud enough to get my attention, and the microphone allowed me to have a full conversation with the person at my front door. A few things to keep in mind... If you have a door knocker, you will need to remove or lower it to clear room for device. If you place a wreath on your door, you will need to lower it remove it as well, as to not obstruct your view. I work from home, teaching preschoolers, in my private daycare home, and security is very important to me 24 hours a day, so a second battery, to keep a spare always charged, is a necessity. I was pleased to find that the manufacturer sells extra batteries at a reasonable price on their website, along with extra replacement parts, as we will be needing for that before mentioned cam flex cable which got damaged in installation. I'm pleased with the Ring website's security service and am highly considering continuing it after my 30 days trial period. The Ring Peephole Doorbell will also pair with certain Alexa devices, which is yet another bonus. I have two regular non cam doorbells; one wired to the house, which sometimes doesn't work well, and an inexpensive battery operated one that allows me to hear notifications from visitors from other rooms. The Ring Peephole Doorbell was my choice as both an improvement to our existing standard peephole, and also as an additional improvement to our overall doorbell situation. Most importantly, it's an easy, high tech way to help keep my family, daycare children, property, and even delivery packages safe. This product would also be great for seniors to upgrade their standard peephole and add security to their homes. I'm recommending it to my mom as well.

Installation took 45 mins, I had to scarp off paint to install it like the instructions say. I am deleting the old footage and the app is super easy to use as well. I will definitely get this if I move.

The instructions were easy to understand and the products were labeled well. I had no issues installing the cam on my door. I did have to reset the camera a few times to get it to connect. That was super easy to do so no worries. The cam also needed to update however it was completed fairly quickly. I love the Ring app as it has many otions so you are able to personalize your own experience. There are also various settings for motion detection which is a major plus to me. Another aspect of this device is that Ring using neighbors can communicate about issues throughout their neighborhood in the app. This means that your neighbors can warn of a neighborhood thief and even share pictures and video. I must say that so far, I am very impressed with the Ring Peephole Cam. I do worry about some privacy issues but I also now feel very safe. To me safety is much more important.

The installation was super easy also connecting to the device to my home network was simple. The App is Easy to use and I love how I can see everything from my from door. So far I have been happy with this device. I get all the alerts needed and video to see who is at the door . Great Product. The Hype is real!

I have a glass window in the middle of my door (so no peephole) but it is not one that you can see out of. I really liked the idea of adding a peephole to the door for those times I do not have my phone with me but I could not pass up all of the great features and added security that comes with the Ring Cams. Even with installing my own Peephole in the door, setup was completed in under 10 minutes. It was really easy and it works great. The wide angle lens captures the entire field of view and I can see all the way to the street through the peephole or through the camera and my phone. The Peephole Cam is terrific.

So for the positives - the picture is really nice and the view is very wide. The recording is nice but has a monthly fee. The doorbell is great as it rings both on the device and the phone which is helpful when we are in the backyard. Now the cons. So when you get a notification that someone is at the front door, it takes over a minute for it to both "go live" and view the recording - I assume this is because of the battery power. Plus there is a monthly fee to see the recording.

We currently have another surveillance type camera and the notifications on this ring is much quicker. The video is clear even at night with no lights. And another plus is the microphone. You can talk with someone continually instead of one at a time like a walkie talkie. The only downside for me is no microphone volume controls. Other than that, this peephole camera is perfect. And it's on the ring network so you can see other local ring users reporting suspicious activity and theft.

You have the capability to hear or speak to any visitor that approaches your door, you can adjust motion sensor and other setting adjustments as well. This product offers the 1080 HD live view and night vision. So far I’m really liking the ring peephole doorbell, I have no problems using it, and enjoying that I can see who dropped of my packages and who approaches my front door.

Everything you need is right in the box to replace it, even a key to assist. It took about 10 minutes to install and it was so easy. I feel safer knowing I have control who is at my door without opening it. The video quality is great too. It also has two way talk.it also has adjustable motion settings and knock detection. I love not only can I see who is there but also know if it is a delivery as well. The battery is also rechargeable. I cannot say enough great things about the security, dependability, quality of this product!! Worth every penny for peace of mind!

My son was ready to help install it as soon as it arrived. We watched the instillation videos before we installed and I’m glad I did. (It was super clear and easy to follow!) My kids have been testing this out (all day long!) I love being able to know who is at my door and being able to communicate with them. The camera itself is very light, but hefty. It’s not going to go anywhere once you install it. I love that this comes with everything you need to install it and also comes with a tool to remove your existing peephole. My family and I are loving this so far! Now we will be able to feel more secure thanks to ring!

We did turn off the night vision so we don't have a glare from the storm door. Now I feel safe and never have to answer the door with a surprised look.

The picture quality is excellent and in color. I have had it up and running about 2 weeks and so far I love it. It was worth the price and I would recommend it to others.
