Good quality, perfect for hoisting a relatively short item such as a bicycle. The price was very reasonable. The only issue is that there is only a single locking mechanism for the cable, so it's not possible to independently adjust the height of each side of the item being lifted. But, hoists sets with this feature (i.e. for larger items like kayaks) costs $50-100 rather than the $15 or so paid for this hoist...

No idea how these are so inexpensive. They work great and are extremely easy to assemble and use. The rope and pulleys are great quality. Before I bought these I had tried to rig up my own version by buying the individual parts and was easily 5x the price and it looked like crap. These look great and I’d recommend highly.

Easy to install. Gets the job done. My only criticism is that there is a lot of play between the pulley wheels and the pulley body. That means that the rope will easily come off the wheels and get caught between the wheels and the body. That is aggravating and takes a while to fix. If I had it to do over again, I would probably spend a couple bucks more for a better quality product.

Rope has frayed after about 20 lifts.

Love it! Easy to use, now my bike doesn't tip over, and isn't in the way. Easy to install after I found the studs. I'm an out of shape old lady and have no trouble using it.

The assembly and mounting are simple enough but there are no words, only pictures. When you follow the "instructions" the locking mechanism locks but doesn't unlock. My bikes are up but don't come down. When I want to use the bikes I will have to use a ladder. Then I will just tie the rope off on the cleat. You could do the same thing for $10 worth of hardware.

We purchased this pulley system to store my daughters kayak. It was relatively easy to install on the ceiling of our garage and is sturdy enough to hold the kayak.

I'm satisfied but not wowed by this product. The location of the mounting holes makes it difficult to drive the screws using a drill unless you angle them in. Build quality is good, not great. They work, but not quite as smoothly as I had hoped.
