Great Option For Small Spaces
Purchased this shed to put on our deck to store our outdoor sofa cushions when the weather is bad. Makes great use of vertical space so it doesn't use up too much deck room. Dead simple to put together in just a few minutes (all the main panels are interlocking) and it has stayed totally dry inside even in heavy rain. It's not cheap, but it does the job well.

Sizing on box and online are not clear. Is too small width wise for what I need it for, very unfortunate because I thought I finally solved my storage issue.

Great Value! Depth is just what I needed
This is a well built shed for the price. I needed it to fit in my little nook and it does the job perfectly. I wish it came with shelves, but I’ve seen from other reviews that it has supports if I make my own

Easy to assemble. The only part that I don’t like is that the door does not seal and this allows dust and air to go in. I am afraid that if it were to rain, water might go in. It is not weather proof

We needed to organize-store sprays, fertilizers, and small items such as shears, clippers, ties, and other assorted items. These were stored in our larger shed we use for the Mower, motorized Garden, and larger hand tools. We were able to put the shed together with the addition of a Rubber Mallet, which was kept handy but was un necessary. Instructions from Rubbermaid were adequate, and aided completion in about 10 minutes. Note that the design includes a floor panel which adds to the overall stability of the shed. Rubbermaids design of the moulded panels also allows for the installation of up to 4 shelves. Again, the instructions provided dimensions to cut the shelving to the proper size, and install. If you decide to use 1/2" shelving instead of 3/4", add a 1/4" to the overall shelf length dimensions for proper fit. We added 2 shelves, and now may add a 3rd one to keep most of the items up off the floor ... and for easier access. We placed the shed on a relatively level Concrete slab on the side of the House. So the shed is stable, and the doors operate properly without binding. The remaining question will be when Winter comes. We will find out if the shed is able to keep this grouping of items dry (within reason) throughout the rainy season. This is why we provided a 4 Star rating of the shed ...

Shed hides control boxes near seating area on back patio.
This is the fourth Rubbermaid shed I've bought and I'm happy with all of them. I bought this small one to conceal several control boxes and the related wiring that are on the wall of our house near a seating area on the patio. Before I assembled it I cut a big square out of the back panel. I also had to cut an opening in the bottom right corner to allow the wiring to exit (for the sprinklers, lighting, sump pump, electric). Then I assembled the shed using the instructions. I used a reciprocating saw to make the cuts. A handheld trim router would be better, I think; but I don't own one! Of course all that cutting weakens the shed since it wasn't designed to be compromised that way. After assembly I ran some two inch screws into the spots where panels clip together; and once it was pushed against the wall I ran four screws through the back panel into the wall. Now the boxes and their wiring are hidden. If you do a search for 'hide electric meter' you'll find fancier solutions than this; but this was fast and I'm happy with it. Thanks for reading!

The good: I needed a shed for a very defined small space and this fit perfectly. I was comfortable with the Rubbermaid brand versus some brand that I’d never heard of. It went together in less than 5 minutes. It will probably last for 15+ years. The bad: I purchased Rubbermaid accessories to really make the shed more useful. Utility hooks, and a tool rack. These don’t fit this model! Ugh! Would have been nice to know... Might have impacted my decision to buy the thing in the first place. Now I just have our outdoor and garden tools standing up in the shed. I would have been much happier with them hanging in an organized fashion. The ugly: The marketing and product information on the Home Depot and Rubbermaid web sites is not good. I have attached pictures to help clear this up for future customers. The box clearly says that it is a Big Max 2’ x 2.5’ Vertical Storage Shed. That doesn’t match either website. The actual dimensions are 2’8” wide x 2’1” deep x 6’0” tall. Hope this review helps future customers.

Very easy assembly - no tools necessary. The shed has a small footprint, but is very spacious. Thus far, it has exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this shed for use on my closed in porch. Within 3 months, every wall and both doors have bowed and warped to the point that the connecting points have snapped apart. I would absolutely file a warranty claim if I could find my original receipt (which I can't....darn it). This was a total waste of money. We're just going to have to dispose of it.

A good solution to my problem of storage space for long tools. I spray-painted it a medium brown to blend with my fence, and it took the paint very well. It could be a bit taller -- it's a little tricky getting the longest tools in and out.

Easy to assemble and sturdy enough for our purposes - to store tall garden tools. One door is a little bit misaligned so you have to push it closed, but at least it won't come open on its own. I'd buy it again.

              Misleading Packing Box
No description of contents on box. Packaging has picture that show it with shelves in it. Box contents are for a shed shell only. There are no shelves, space to securely put shelves once you cut lumber for them not as deep as implied by the picture on the box, also there are no instructions, not even simple IKEA style diagram instructions. Not as easy to assemble, even for those used to assembling stuff, as implied by the limited information on the packaging. Parts are labeled but labeling is of the same color as the rest of the unit so not easy to spot. Also panels don't lock together very easily. Given what it was purchased for it won't work as is, we may end up returning so that we can get something else, that does come with shelves. If you want durable storage with shelves do yourself the favor of ordering something different from online and either get it delivered to home or store. I can honestly say I have had less trouble assembling BBQ's and furniture from IKEA, as well as got what was expected because of better product description on packaging. My wording is disappointed in the extreme by this product, and by Rubbermaid. As to why we had gotten it. We already have an almost identical storage unit gotten almost 2 decades ago that did come with adjustable shelves. Now I'm wondering if it was made by a different manufacturer.

                Don't waste your money
I thought this would be a good solution to store photo lighting equipment outside. The equipment is not that heavy. I built the shed in about 15-20 minutes. The hinge mechanism on the doors is not a good design. The hinges float in a certain area and can easily become 'unhinged'. Once I loaded it up with the equipment, the right and left walls started bending and the hinges/hooks of the doors no longer catch the receiving area on the sides. There are all sorts of gaps in the shed as a result and it will definitely let moisture in. Anything that leans against the walls will make the walls bend. It was a waste of money and I'll probably find a new solution within the year.

Decent tool shed but not rodent resistant
The website description states: Weather-resistant and Maintenance Free: no rot, no rust, no problems. Beware of the "weather-resistant" and "no problems" claim. Turns out squirrels love Rubbermaid products, too. This shed is placed against a concrete-block stucco wall. Squirrels apparently sit on the wall and nibble on the edges, creating leaky holes across the top rear side. Although Rubbermaid isn't responsible for rodent behavior, my advice is: do not place this shed along a fence where rodents can easily gnaw their way through the top, destroying the water protection. Rubbermaid should add this warning to their instructions (if it's not already there now) -- and save customers aggravation due to product damage. Also I wish the lock hole were a little larger to accommodate some of the better MasterLocks with thicker necks. I suppose I could drill it, but I don't want to leave a thin section that could crack. I didn't need shelves in my case, but agree with the other posters that Rubbermaid should at least offer a heavy-duty "snap-in" shelves (similar material to the side panels) that are impervious to chemicals, rust and other outdoor items. I see they do offer wire shelving for some units -- but in my experience steel-wire shelves eventually rust, even when painted or protected in a dipped plastic.

                    Resilient Product
The shed was easy to put together, although the instructions on adding shelves were a little sparse, compared to larger sheds. We had no trouble with it over many years as it was placed into a corner against two sides of the house under the overhang. However two days ago we had a severe thunderstorm and the unit blew apart into its 7 components, despite being locked shut and containing some heavy objects. I do note the tip to anchor it to a wall but as the house is built with concrete blocks this seemed daunting. I down loaded the instructions and had it back together in 10 minutes apparently none the worse for wear.

                      Sturdy, Well-made, Easy to Assemble
This is the third Rubbermaid shed I've had. I built two other ones when I was married - they were much bigger. This one was great because there is no hardware whatsoever - just snap it and slide it in. I gave it 4 stars because it does leak near the front doors when it rains - the two sides have a gap where it meets the doors and rain gets in. Other than that it serves its purpose and I would recommend it.

Purchased one when I built my house 20 years ago. Product has held up well until recently when door hinge pin broke off. Probably time to get a new one!

Good shed, but it should include shelves as well.
Good shed, but it should include shelves as well. The fact that a drawing that the buyer should use to build their own shelves is borderline passive-aggressive (let alone that the drawing could be better thought-out).
