Horrible product for appliances!
I bought 3 cans of this paint to use on my almost new apartment size stove that was white. I did as the instructions said and degreased first, and then lightly sanded. I took an entire day to mask and followed the instructions. Total of 3 coats. Looked great at first. Three days later I walked by and notice a smudge on the oven door. Used my finger and it took the paint right off. That’s when I noticed the top and backsides cracking and peeling. And the gas oven has never even been turned on. Wanted to give it time to cure. Now I have a horrible mess and do not know what I’m going to do.

Let's talk about this! If a paint is applied too heavily, it can start to crack and look almost like mud as it starts to dry. While some paints cure over time, Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Ultra Spray Paint needs to be heated to fully cure. Because of this, we recommend this product for use on the exterior of barbecue grills, wood stoves, radiators, fire pits, fireplace screens, and automotive parts. We recommend raising the temperature of the surface to 450°F for an hour to fully cure it. If the surface does not reach temperatures above 200°F, then one of our standard spray paints may be a better option. It brought my firepit back to life but hopefully it...
It brought my firepit back to life but hopefully it will stay sealed to the metal . In the past it was not complete adhesion and split away from the metal.

This product worked great for what I needed it for....
This product worked great for what I needed it for. It was used on a few car parts that are near the engine on an old restoration. Also we used it to seal our bbq grill hood.

This paint is top-notch! Originally used to spray paint all pieces of the Home Depot-purchased "Fire Ball Hampton Bay Briarglen" fire pit before assembly to prevent rust January of 2021. Although the fire pit remains covered when not in use, 22 months later, repurchased to touch-up areas where some rust on the interior had formed and where high heat had turned the metal to a bronze color. Also repainted the fire pit's removal bowl - in all, it looks new! Highly recommend this product.

Read this before you ruin your stove like I did
We consulted with a Home Depot employee at the paint counter who said this product would be fine to use on the grates for our gas stove. I was hesitant because the grates are directly exposed to flames, but she assured us it would be fine. After 3 coats of paint on each side, they looked beautiful! Unfortunately, the paint is melting onto our pots and pans. We've been told by a local appliance dealer that they should have never been painted and we basically just destroyed them as the paint can blister, smoke, and potentially catch fire. Since the stove is 10 years old, the grates have been discontinued, so now our only option is to buy a new stove.
