My plumber told me to go pick a tub, and he said to get acrylic. (Well this is Vikrell, but I think it’s the same)
I just love this tub! I take a lot of baths, and this has a good sloped back for relaxing. It stays warm! Much better than my old steel one. Nice pebbly floor, for non-slip. And, the design is beautiful, I think. The beveled edge, and the oval shape look really great! It’s made to go with acrylic walls, but we tiled around it instead- Marissa Carrera 10 x 14 marble look tile. The whole effect is really elegant! Very pleased.
Make sure you put a mortar bed under it, for strength!

The height is exactly what I was looking for and it's wide, but there isn't a lot of length to stretch out your legs. For me it's fine, but others may find it too short.

Don't buy this
I bought this Sterling and the ***** brand on the same day at Home Depot. They were within 15$ of each other This Sterling looks cheap flimsy and prone to damage when installing. The other brand is much better for the price.

I've only had the tub 2 weeks, but don't like where the sides meet the bottom floor because there is an indent which makes it look like a dirty ring around the tub. Also, while the slope on the back is nice for baths, it makes it awkward to climb into the tub for a shower. It's very difficult to buy a tub online because the stores only carry 1 or 2 to look at.

Shipping problems
The tub itself is a wonderful product very well-built shipping seems to be an issue I ordered 6 tubs to get one good one the other five we're all damaged during shipping that was a big problem. Contacted manufacturer and they said that I might want to try a new vendor.

This Sterling Bathtub arrived at the Home Depot store damaged. Home Depot personnel opened and inspected it and never said whether or not it had a damaged or defective or not. And so when it was brought up front, after I signed for it, the box of course was already been ripped open. I looked at it and it was busted off at the corner of the tile flange and the damage had traveled onto the tub surface. I ended up buying another tub that the H.D. store had in stock.

Love this tub! Looks amazing!
I had a plumber buddy help me install this tub, it's super light and easy to move into place. Put it on top of a bed of mortar and slightly insulated the sides.. All I can say is this tub is just as quite as my cast iron and I have had no problems with it since we installed it.. Great value!

Tub was damaged and had to be returned
When we uncrated the bath tub it had a big crack down one side so returned it to the store. Since we had a crew ready to do the installation we had to take a more expensive unit which the store had in stock

Broken Tub
I will review this tub in several parts. I selected this tub as replacement in a very old bathroom. I selected for light weight, ease of installation with wall set, and the economy of this set. I am replacing a cast iron tub that was not installed correctly.
I am in a small town 80 miles from the nearest HomeDepot. I ordered online which was an ok experience. I received appropriate texts for delivery as expected and set out with my trailer to pick up my set.
On arrival, that is when confusion began. I requested my order sent to the Pro Desk. They were not aware of the order and tried to send me to the other end of the store to the service desk. After some discussion, they found the order in receiving in the far back corner of the store. When it finally arrived at the Pro Desk the boxes were damaged. The tub was half opened and an obvious crack was showing. The wall set boxes were damaged, but the wall set appeared to be ok.
A full hour later, I finally was back on the road with the wall set and another tub on order. How hard is it to refund and reorder?
I AM VERY DISSATISFIED, I HAVE TO DRIVE BACK TO ABILENE, 160 MILES ROUND TRIP, TO PICK UP ONE ITEM.
The employees were as helpful as they could be. It is Home Depot policy and serious quality problems that are the problem. This tub, made in the USA, is proving to be disappointing. Read your own reviews. Breakage during delivery appears to be the number one problem.
I believe this problem could have been prevented in receiving. The product should have not been received at the Abilene HD without inspection. I should not have received texts to pick up these items until they were delivered to the Pro Desk as "received, inspected, and ready for customer pickup".
Relief for this incident should come in the form of delivery to my house.

So far, so good.
I'm not normally a big fan of plastic bathtubs, though I've had a couple which were quite good. So, I decided to give this one a try, especially as it's from a division of Kohler. The finish is very good and easy to clean, unlike many plastic tubs. No cracks, and I put it through some stress during installation. All-in-all, I'm very happy with it. We'll see how it holds up over time.
