This is the dumbest design. Samsung has ever come up with. It does clean the dishes as well, however, it is a real task to clean the filter. I Have added photos to show the parts you have to take out, in order to clean.

Racks Rust
We got this dishwasher about 4 years ago. The racks are complete junk. They are all rusty already. The one wheel for the top rack rusted off. I have been working with Samsung for 2 months for replacement ones and still battling.

Rusty after 1.5 years
We bought an older version of the same model that was discontinued. The top and bottom racks are both rusted after only 1.5 years. Replacement racks are over $200 each. Honestly it wasn’t ever very good at washing. The spacing of the tines in the bottom rack didn’t make any sense. Never buying Samsung again.

2nd samsung diswasher, horrible.
This is my 2nd Samsung dishwasher. First expensive rainfall one died after 4 years. Replaced with this mode. It is much louder than original (even though it stated it is quiet) and has gotten louder over time. Dish washing performance is shaky. I always pre-rinse but its 50/50 if dishes will be spotless. Two years in, the bottom two racks are rusted, motor is making horrible noise, and electrical computerlike sounds coming from unit when water fills. Avoid Samsung dishwashers at all costs.

Racking rusts and falls apart
I do like how quiet it is, and we've had good luck with how well it washes dishes, however the racking started rusting within the first year, and by the third year it was literally falling apart.
Thankfully, they do warranty the racking for 5 years, so it is getting replaced, but I'm sure the same thing will just happen again, and purchasing replacement racking is so expensive that we'll just replace the whole dishwasher with another brand when that happens.
Somehow our previous dishwasher lasted well over 10 years with it's original racking. Seriously disappointed with the poor durability of Samsung appliances, and will look elsewhere in the future.

Run from Samsung!
I have a Samsung dishwasher model # DW80R5060US/AA. It's beautiful but is a pile of crud.
For an appliance that costs close to $1000, it's ridiculous that we've had a repair person to the house THREE different times. He said Samsung is the worst brand out there and the brand he gets the most repair calls for. The dishwasher is less than two years old. I will NEVER purchase anything that is Samsung ever again and by the reviews shown here...no one else should either. So disappointing. This company should be embarrassed to cheat the hard-working people who purchase their products.

Barely a month in and started comming apart
a month after we had this dishwasher and with barely 1-2 times weekly use the inside liner started to come apart and that makes the drawers impossible to pull out. i contacted customer service for samsung and they said they would send out someone to repair and never actually followed through. the customer care guy christian ignored my messages and no further solutions were offered or alternative choices to help fix the manufacturer issue was made. don’t buy samsung

Poor quality racking / rusting quickly
The plastic coating on the racking is coming off in many places after less than 3 years. The metal frames of the racks are rusting in multiple places and have even rusted all the way through in places. The racking is supposed to have a 5 year warranty, but trying to file a claim is almost impossible.

racks are rusting already
I'm disappointed in this dishwasher. The racks started to rust almost immediately and it is no longer quiet. Aside from that, it cleans ok and looks nice. But with the fact that i'm still paying it off, it's disheartening that it isn't better quality.

I will never buy a Samsung diswasher or any of their products dishes is dirty constantly cannot even clean and look inside to clean the filter you have to remove 11 screws disconnect arm wash and even doing that still dirty I put one plate for 3 h to see how that would work plate came out dirty unbelievable had it for one year what a waste

Some cheap parts
We purchased this dishwasher 4 months ago. We like how quiet it runs and how dishes turn out.
Unfortunately some of the plastic they used is of cheap quality. With only moderate use it already start cracking next to control panel (not a huge crack but will only get worse). I contacted Samsung and they said the warranty will not cover it because it is considered a "cosmetic" issue. Unfortunately the "cosmetic" crack is next to the control panel and in time that may turn into a fire hazard. They don't care much about the safety of their customers. And again, why do I have to live with that "cosmetic damage" on my new appliance ?

Worst dishwasher I've ever seen
This is the worst dishwasher I've ever seen. Dishes come out dirty on every single load. Glasses, bowls, jars, silverware, plates - it doesn't matter. We use Cascade Ultra detergent and Jet-Dri rinse aid. We've run loads of vinegar and dishwasher cleaner through it a dozen times at least. I've removed the bottom filter and cleaned it, but it made no difference. This unit does not have a twist-out filter, so cleaning the filter is a huge hassle. It doesn't even mention doing so in the user manual, so it doesn't appear to be designed with that in mind. In any case, it didn't make any difference.
The unit is about 2 1/2 years old and has been garbage from the day we got it.
Save yourself a headache and buy anything else.

No disposal or filter
Submitted a review in 10/22 that the product description isn't correct, review wasn't posted and description hasn't been fixed. The 7050 series has a filter, 5061 does NOT. This makes a HUGE difference in performance and is false advertising.

Would not recommend.
This might be the worst dishwasher ever. We thought we’d loving having a 3rd rack for utensils. Our friends have a different brand and love theirs. But our utensils are never clean. Every load 1/2 of the utensils are dirty, oily, etc. We more often than not have dirty bowls and plates too. I typically have to hand wash 1/3 if the entire load after running the dishwasher. We’ve tried many different ways of arranging our items, we make sure not to overload it, we’ve tried different cleaning products, we’ve tried adding more cleaner for the pre wash, etc. We are so unhappy with this dishwasher. We wish we could return it.

Samsung top control dishwasher
Dishwasher was delivered and installed this afternoon as promised within the time window. Running the first load of dishes right now., it is so quiet!! You can’t hear it, it looks great with my other Samsung stainless steel appliances and a half in the kitchen. Will leave another feedback at the dishes are done.

Garbage
Purchased 2 years ago and apparently the motor died today. Made a huge noise sounding like a garbage disposal so we turned it off and took all the dishes out now it just fills with water and does nothing. It barely got the dishes clean to begin with and now I have a dead unit sitting in my kitchen. Crazy that nothing lasts anymore and everything is out of warranty

Don't buy
I bought this model 2 years ago. It does not clean my dishes. We even began rinsing very well before hand. We are careful about how we load it, but still doesn't get the dishes very clean. Don't buy this.

Dishwasher motor pump failed in less than 3 years
This dishwasher was newly installed in our remodelled condo when we bought it in Oct. 2020, so this was not our choice of appliances brand. The dishwasher never really worked that well, and it was the whole "wash your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher" game for them to get close to clean. We had a technician come out this weekend (June 2023) when nothing in the upper rack was getting clean. He broke the news to us that the motor pumping the water was working at a 10% capacity and that Samsung does not offer that part for replacement anymore. Needless to say we are extremely disappointed in the quality of a rather expensive dishwasher, and I never thought we would be replacing ours two and half years later. Looking forward to our new Bosch that we know will be FAR superior to this one.

It’s okay I guess but seal broke after a few weeks
I bought this in September of 2022 and the seal around the dishwasher started coming loose after the first 3 months. It still works and the dishes come out clean. It’s not terribly noisy and I do like how dry it gets the dishes. The seal is now so bent that I can barely get the bottom rack to come out. I’m in the process of replacing now but installation won’t be covered.

Works long enough to get past the warranty
Nothing to rave about now. Best feature is the silverware tray on the top and easy smooth sliding of the trays. Rinse was sub par and would occasionally we’d have to run a cycle twice. Exactly 10 days after the 1 year mark the lights stopped working properly. We dealt with it. Finally about 1 year and 2 months of use the entire unit floods. We’re in the middle of a medical crisis and we’ve got a flooded dishwasher to deal with. Not worth the chance.

Worst dishwasher ever
Worst dishwasher ever. Don’t forget the warranty because you will need it. I’m done wasting money on crappy appliances that don’t work properly or constantly needing repairs. I will hand wash dishes and spend money on better things.

Do not purchase - Broke shortly after warranty
Broken shortly after manufactures warranty. I’m not buying Samsung products anymore.
We have had this and the warranty ended 12/31/22. We are now 4 months after the warranty and it is not powering on. The circuit breaker is fine. I tested the electric to the unit with a Klein tool. Checked the wires in the junction box. Has power and still won’t turn on. Unreal that this thing cost this much and I have to pay for repairs.

Great dishwasher for a good price
DIY installation was fairly simple, ( I have installed dishwashers in the past) it fit perfectly where our old dishwasher was with no issues. It is easy to operate, much quieter than our last one, and cleans dirty dishes very well. The 3rd rack is great for random utensils and knives. Price was average for something comparable. Overall would recommend this Samsung dishwasher to family or friends. So far no complaints.

Do not buy
This product is garbage and Samsung has given me the run around about the refund process.
The interior is delaminating from the side, causing a leak and disrupting internal sensors. Only had this product for 3 months and it is completely inoperable.

This dishwasher looks great, and does a good job washing...
This dishwasher looks great, and does a good job washing dishes. The main issue is that it is LOUD. Obviously all dishwashers are rated for sound rating, but this one doesn't make it to 48dba. The lowest I have seen is 55dba and mostly it is in the 60s. To give you an idea - from 2 rooms away, you can hear the sounds clearly. It replaced a dishwasher with the same rating and is WAY louder. Samsung had a technician come out who said it was installed properly, but was much louder than advertised. Home Depot refused a return (NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from Home Depot - I called the day after it was installed, 1 week after delivery over the holidays, refused to return due to the policy of 48h only). Samsung refused to send a replacement at this point. If you want a dishwasher that is 48dba, look for another brand or get one rated quieter.

Frustrating lower rack
We’ve had this dishwasher for about 4 months and while it’s cleaning our dishes well, there’s no easy way to clean the filter (there’s about a dozen screws to remove) and the bottom rack is a disaster. The 2 rows of prongs are different so you can easily load pans or cutting boards. I contacted Samsung to see if I could replace it with a different bottom rack and the parts department didn’t know any dimensions of any of their racks. So I’m stuck with a bottom rack I hate. It’s frustrating!
