Good Fridge - Tough to clean - Screen Disappoints
We have had this refrigerator for 4 years now. I love the layout, the flex drawer, and the space. I do not love the ice maker how slow it is and how enclosed and difficult to access. The screen was a complete waste of money. We do not have wifi, and most things on the screen are wifi run. I can not lock the display that I set on my screen, so the kids were constantly messing with it. My screen usually displayed colored scribbles from my 3 year old, and a date, time, and weather that were completely inaccurate. I found it not user friendly at all. It took me a year to figure out how to upload some of my own photos to it instead of the stock photos it comes with. I gave up and now just leave the screen off. (Samsung, please make it to where parents can lock the display screen.) My biggest frustration with this refrigerator is that it is extremely difficult to clean when needed. When something leaks on the bottom shelf, the juices run off the glass into the grooves of the frame holding the glass in place. The juice is then wicked to the compartment that houses the water filtration system. The unwanted liquids then pour down over this housing and pool under it, collecting in the hundreds of grooves, niches, and corners along the way. The shelf and glass are extremely difficult to remove, and the water filtration system impossible. This leaves the poor distraught housewife with a toothbrush and bowl of soapy water scrubbing fruitlessly at the water filtration housing, and wishing housewives could help design these things. (Samsung, PLEASE make cleaning these refrigerators more efficient!!)

    Broken fridge
    I only had this product RF28N978OSR for 3 years. I was told it need to be replaced parts are over two thousand dollars. I can not find people to service it correctly in my area so I only received 1 estimate. Very disappointing. I have 8 children an now my fridge is out after only 3 years. It's not keeping cool. The freezer been out over 4 months now an also ice machine went out over a year ago. Any ideas

      Questionable Long Term Quality
      Looks good and works OK when new. Not as advertised. After 5 years the supposedly stainless steel doors started to develop rust. This indicates a very thin layer of stainless steel was applied to mild steel. Full full sheet of metals for the surfaces is not stainless steel but plated. I am a metallurgist so I can attest that rust does not occur in stainless steel.

            My family and i love this fridge... we needed to upgrade the side by side fridge that came with our house. Recipes,Music,youtube and sound quality are all really nice and the space inside is priceless compared to our old fridge. We ended up going with this one not counter depth since we had the space to go bigger.. totally worth it! Everything now has a home and is so organized.. french doors had us sold on this one. Wish this one came with the pitch that refills or the extra deli drawer.. maybe next time!?!

              this is a cool product with lots of great features, but beware the finger print resistant stainless steel is perfect except for the handle which is the most frequently touched part! i was so excited to get the fingerprint resistant finish but when it arrived the angled edge on the door (which serves as a handle) is touched every time you open it and subsequently filled with fingerprints. i don't know what the designers were thinking! why would you make the most frequently touched part the most susceptible to fingerprints? it constantly needs to be cleaned. this just seems to defy logic.

                  Fridge stopped freezing 2 months after purchase. I called Samsung and they are saying my lost food is covered but they can’t have it repaired for 7-14 days! I willpower try to exchange it immediately! Home Depot and delivery were great. The family hub and stereo quality are amazing but what’s the purpose of having a hot humid fridge that plays music and shows you your food spoiling inside! I literally recurved this fridge in July 2020 and last week in August it stopped working.

                    Compressor stop working.
                    I bought this fridge 3 years ago and suddenly the compressor stopped working and now cooling system is not working. I didn’t get extended warranty because I never thought it would break in 3 years! If I want to repair it will be $1,200.00 I bought this fridge because I believed and trusted the brand name of Samsung. I am so disappointed and angry at this product.

                      Great overall
                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has definitely been the focal point in our kitchen. it has a beautiful design and the touchscreen is a showstopper. There’s plenty of food storage space. The drawback is that the ice dispenser hasn’t worked well. The ice comes out very slowly just a piece at a time and the exterior dents easily. It also shows every fingerprint but aside from that it’s an awesome refrigerator.

                              Great features but minor issues
                              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge over a month ago and I have been loving it. It’s very big and spacious compared to what we have and I love the fact that we are able to change the bottom compartments to cool or freezer. The screen is easy to Navigate and set up to your phone or other devices. Here are the cons- you can’t get water out of the water spout if any of the other doors are open. The water comes out on an angle instead of straight down so if you are not paying attention you can spill water every where. Lastly I love the fact it has a crushed ice feature but you have to stand there for at least 30 seconds before the first bit of crushed ice comes out. Then by the sounds it makes you think you have a glass full of crushed ice and it’s only a few pieces. Thankfully the water that comes out of the filter taste really good.

                                  Good start,needs work on design and smart function
                                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The top drawers do not pull out far enough, see pic. You have to basically pull them out as if you were removing them in order to efficiently load and unload them. The door bins on the left (see pic) are ridiculously small, almost unusable. The flip-up shelf is key for milk jugs and 2 liters. While the shelves are made to be moved up and down, it's like they don't work well unless the 2 sides are paired up. That is, the left shelf and right she'd need to be at the same height because they interlock together, and if they don't interlock it's almost like it losses some structural integrity. The slide back shelf is a little wonky, it needs to lock in place better (again this might be worsened fi you don't have this shelf lined up with it's sister shelf) I like how tall the water/ice area is. I don't mind not having a drip tray. I wish the water/ice was smarter like other brands/models. It is kind of hard to push the buttons and switch between cube and crushed. also the light is not automatic, you have to be pushing the ice/water for it to come on. I like that essentially my fridge includes a wine fridge (the flex zone), very neat integrating the 2 into one compact design for my small kitchen). The smart screen lacks some integration which is really unfortunate. It can play youtube videos, but it's on its own OS and doesn't fully integrate with Google. Since the internet sees the screen as a mobile device, we should be able to watch our streaming services (Netflix/hulu), it obviously can play video and it's silly needing to "cast" from a Samsung device. It confuses my Google products becuase I'll say "Hey Bixby" and google tries to correct me and say "I don't respond to that". Also, I can't believe Bixby can't set an alarm through voice command.... seems like literally the most obvious feature in a kitchen product. It should include MyFitnessPal or other popular health apps (Garmin, Google Fit). It's nice that it allows you to tailor your dietary needs and it suggests meals which is really fun, but again, let's take it the next step and make our refrigerator a part of our health journey. Also like a journaling app would be nice... track how many days you worked out, ate healthy, meditated, drank water etc I think would be really awesome. (I could see families using it to track who did their chores for the month etc) It helps you meal plan for the week which is cool as well as ordering your groceries if you are into that. I like the calendar, notes, lists functions, I have a Jot pen which is magnetic, stuck to the side so I can take memos/notes. Again, I know samsung wants to do their own thing... but just being more integrated with Google as an option would be nice. I don't like that i have to have 2 apps, Smartthings and Family Hub, seems like they should be integrated. This does make me want to get the wifi widgets for my Samsung washer and dryer so that I can get alarms on my fridge that my clothes are done.

It is also a counter depth fridge that actually holds quite a bit and has the versatility to change a freezer to a beverage or fruit storage. i am very happy with this fridge except for the ice maker. It tends to make ice cubes that clump up. I don’t think the ice maker is insulated enough from the fridge.

I love the fact that as I am cooking or washing dishes, I can ask Bixby to play Pandora and even skip a song with my voice. Technology is awesome.                                               A Technical Refrigerator Marvel
                                              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has been debating on upgrading our fridge for a couple years now and we finally decided that enough was enough. Our other fridge had a pull-out drawer freezer which was aggravating and unpleasant to deal with, so we decided to go with the sleeker four-door model this time, which was the best decision we could have made during these pandemic times. At long last I can finally store my many ice cream flavors without worrying that they may go forgotten or over frozen. The unit itself is super intuitive and easy to use, and we love how it feels as though we have a tablet attached to our refrigerator. Rather than feeling like a new kitchen machine, it feels like one big toy that the whole family can mess around with and customize to their liking. Everything works great, there are a ton of options, and it works much better than we could’ve imagined.

                                                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] after just about a year the ice maker begun to freze up and not produce ice. i looked in the ice maker compartment and found ice build up. cleaned the ice build up from the compartment and it worked for a few days then froze again. when ice is produced, the ice is not completly frozen. when pushing ice lever, water drips out from the melting ice. such a let down. very good looking fridge. good thing i purchased this item from costco which offers a 2 year warranty and provides an additional 2 year warranty for using the costco visa.

I've been eyeballing this refrigerator for some time now and decided to finally spend the money to welcome it into my home. So far, the refrigerator has been all i had hoped for. Everyone who visits my home always comments how beautiful the fridge looks. Looks great in our kitchen. Sleek design and resists fingerprints, even with a kid who takes pleasure in putting handprints on things. I love the 4-door design and how convenient it is to get I to the freezer. Plenty of room for everything we need and great new features. Top feature must be the FlexZone drawer. It's so convenient to have a place to put those oft-needed items for quick access, eliminating the need to open the full refrigerator. The lighting is great too. I've owned refrigerators in the past that the lighting didn't make it past the second shelve. As for the Hub part, I am happy with it, it does have some things that Samsung needs to update/adjust.

                                                        Beyond Wonderful
                                                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 28 cubic foot four-door flex fridge with Family Hub is huge! We moved into our house a year ago. We had a Dutch-door fridge from another manufacturer at our old house that wasn’t as large and here at our new house we had a 33-year-old side-by-side. They both had water and ice in the door, but neither was capable of filling anything larger than a cup. The design of the water and ice filling levers on the front allow you fill many different sized containers. The two different adjustable shelves inside allow for taller items to fit comfortably. The filter is in a very convenient place, right between the two drawers. I like to listen to Pandora while doing the dishes. I like the Flex option to be able to add fridge space when needed. We have a separate upright freezer so that’s not an issue.

                                                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, I was skeptical to buy something so big, but the timing seemed right due to old fridge wasn't working like it should've (and it had wire shelves). Once it came in, we unwrapped it outside due to having to take the doors off to get it inside. That was the easy part, if you follow the directions. Once inside, we reassembled it back together and then start taking the plastic off. We used the instructions to know where shelves went (which was allot of unwrapping) buy worth it. Once set up and in it's place, we plugged it in. We then went thru the Smart Hub setup, very easy and self explanatory too. We all downloaded Spotify and the hub app so that could utilize all the features this fridge has. Setting up individual accounts was easy. Now, adding pictures was a bit challenging, but once we figured it out it worked out perfectly. Only 12 Max tho. Now, we decide to keep the bottom as a freezer, just to make it convenient, even tho we have a stand up freezer. As for the settings, that was also easy once you read the manual. I love how you can tell when someone leaves the fridge door open too, due to it plays a melody when it's open too long, plus I set up the notifications so I'd get notified if the door was opened too long. I love how we can see what's in the fridge, the kids loved that. But what we all loved was how we can stream music to it. The kids have been showing this off to their friends. The kids did figure out ways to make their pictures larger and even delete them off the fridge, so that's one thing that I wish was locked so the kids can't so that. I love how you can pull up recipes too, we all loved that. Another really good feature is how you can tell how the water filter is doing, good or bad. It's so easy to replace too being up front when you open the doors. Much more convenient than others we've seen. Due to moving this past month, I haven't been able to go thru all the features like I had planned, but I'm sure there are more features I have yet to know about.

We have just moved into our new home and my husband insisted on waiting to get this refrigerator because of its modern features. It is large and has convenience in mind. The smart features have my husband and kids busy all the time and the energy savings is remarkable for a refrigerator this size. While I would have preferred the black stainless steel, This model is easy to clean but it does get messy with the kids. My favorite is the convenience of having the menu board and shopping list as I can plan meals for a whole week and shop for exactly when I need from the menu. It makes life so convenient especially now. It has the shopping deals from local supermarkets. What is also convenient is being able to look inside the refrigerator to see whats in there with the three cameras. This refrigerator was obviously built to bring families together as everyone wants their input on the family board, which is a great place to showcase our family. I also love having the convenience to watch videos or use the integrated music apps to play my music while in the kitchen. It sure made the kitchen my new favorite place in the house.
