just stopped working
we have only had this refrigerator for a few years started having problems a while back where the temp on the door didnt match the thermometers i put in the freezer or fridge sections... yesterday i shut it off to give it a really good cleaning and now it wont cool at all. we spent alot of money on this appliance for it to fail this soon. wont be buying anymore samsung appliances

    Ice Maker not well engineered
    i spent a crap ton of money.... i mean a lot for this fridge. my wife specifically asked for it, this very model. not even 2 years. had this installed june 22 2019. new in box. professional install. 19 months later... no ice. water line is fine. water pressure is fine. water from the door is fine. no blockages around auger. reset... twice. 48 hours 12 cubes. lets see, for about $3000 over 19 months that is a $157 a month before it was useless... seriously people. i thought the 10 year tag on the front indicated reliability.

      Great sleek design fridge. I love the bottom right side can either be a fridge or freezer. It’s like having a mini fridge. I use mine for my kids so they can get juice, fruit and snacks on their own. It makes it really nice and easy.

        Broken more than it has worked
        Within 2 weeks of purchasing the refrigerator broke down. It took 3 technician trips and 3 weeks to repair.

          Worst refrigerator ever
          i never write reviews but i am really very disappointed with this refrigerator. i bought this refrigerator 3 years ago and i couldn't be be happier. two years later, the ice maker started to freeze very bad and it didn't work for my birthday party. i had to run to buy ice to the store. it has been a month and half that the compressor failed and it doesn't work anymore. i had to pay $150 for service and i am still waiting for my refund. i have been without a refrigerator for almost a month. i like the new refrigerator with the front screen door but i really do not trust samsung any more.

            Bought in 2017. problem after problem with ice maker and water collecting below freezer drawer causing constant ice blocks. Extended warranty expired and now I'm stuck with this horrible fridge.

              Beauty is Only Skin Deep
              I have had this product for 20 months and it has failed to meet expectations.This is a beautiful refrigerator with great features. However, there is a major quality issue with the ice maker. There is a high likelihood that your ice maker will frost over and stop making ice, probably soon after the standard warranty expires.. Samsung knows about the issue and makes it very difficult to resolve. It took me over 6 months to get a technician to the house to look at the fridge. The tech was at my house for less than 15 seconds before diagnosing the issue and telling me that I needed a kit from Samsung to repair. Home Depot - Why are you still selling this refrigerator? Please take a stand for your customers and support manufacturers that stand behind their products.

                So Disappointed.
                First note: I do not complain or write bad reviews.. When we went to purchase a new fridge, selecting a brand was not too tough. Samsung has always been a phenomenal brand that our household trusts. So we bought the best! We went beyond our budget and picked our dream fridge. It is such a BEAUTY and has everything we wanted. Within the first 6 months, the ICE MASTER in the fridge was excessively leaking..inside and out. With further investigation, we noticed that the bottom of the ice making "compartment" was fully cracked.....Went on line, bought a replacement bin for $140.00. Put it in....within 3 weeks, leaking!! Now, along with leaking, we have this AWESOME whining motor noise that has accompanied it...unless you open the door. It also has now started rusting on the water/ice retrieval outside the door and in many of the stainless seams. Ready to lose my MIND! First 1.5 years of owning it, we are inneed of a new fridge and did not opt for the "2500 additional year warranty"! I am completely so disappointed with our splurge.... and sad...                   I had trouble getting the new filter in and had to call for repair. Found out what I was doing wrong and corrected problem, under warranty, no cost. Customer service very helpful. Love the flexibility of the bottom fridge/freezer, love the ease of cleaning the outside as well as the inside, love the look. I use the door for my gallon of milk, no problems with temp control, kept two thermometers in fridge, one in front and one in back, to check. Love how visible food is. Had fridge since January 1, 2018

                    Terrible Ice Maker Design
                    icemaker has to be defrosted approximately every two week. started off great, but after 6 months it froze over and stopped making ice. i thought maybe high humidity or something caused it, but now it is part of my regular routine.

                      I love my flex fridge. My only concern is the height of shelves. Wish they were a little higher to put a gallon of milk. But overall, great features and great product.

                        Loved this Refrigerator except it stopped working after couple of months
                        It's beautiful refrigerator. have good space and loved separate flex-one and freezer. No problems for couple of months and then started issues 1) ice build up on icemaker. Samsung app can configure to run defrost cycle every night. However; the solution is enough. Also drops water after defrost. 2) freezer or flex-zone stopped working . About warranty: Although Samsung warranty 5 years for cooling parts; customer still need to pay service fee/diagnosis fee (fees not waived even though the parts under warranty)

                          WORST purchase we’ve ever made. Ice maker doesn’t work. Control panel doesn’t work. Freezer slowly started getting warmer and warmer and we couldn’t fix it and finally it’s warmer than the top refrigerator. Thawed all of our frozen food and ruined all of my sons breastmilk. I would love nothing more than to be able to throw it directly in the garbage. I would’ve been better off buying a cheap fridge with zero sPeCiAL fEaTuReS. You will too. Stay as far away from this garbage as possible and save your money.

                              this fridge was well worth saving up for! it has a ton of space, and very little "wasted" space. it's flexible with the flexzone area and also the variety of shelves. we love using our new fridge!

                                Very nice Fridge. My only comment would be that while the shelves are quite adjustable for the fridge, they are not quite adjustable enough. A carton of milk or standard soda bottle height doesn't quite fit. If I kick the shelf to the next level I lose a lot of storage space. That was a little surprising. Otherwise, very nicely designed. I love the lighting inside.

                                at first, i was hesitant to buy based on comments i had seen about ice maker problems but can say we have been extremely happy with this refrigerator since purchasing it 8 months ago. the ice maker works great and always maintains an adequate supply and has not caused any problems for us. we have two young children and the flex zone is perfect for keeping all of their food and drinks where they can reach them. i do wish the freezer and flex zone had the ability to replace the drawers with shelves, but it has not been a problem thus far.

                                  Broke after 1 month of use
                                  This fridge was in use for about 1 month when a small plastic attachment for the door latch broke the entire door has to be replaced to repair it. Our remodel took longer than expected and the appliances were stored for some time, which unfortunately negated the warranty despite them not being in use. We bought the entire kitchen set and every single one of them was broken with expensive repairs within 18 months of use and we are not hard on our appliances. The set we replaced was almost 20 years old and had never required any major repairs.

                                    having the flexibility of changing it to freezer to a meat cooler or just a fridge is a great option but just like everyone else the ice maker design is horrible keeps freezing up i do a force defrost works good for a while then freezes up again& samsung knows about this problem they should have a recall or some kind of a fix so now i just go buy my ice

                                      Maybe we just got a lemon?
                                      We bought this fridge in sept of 2017. And we have only been able to use it for a little more than half the time we have owned it! At first it was just the icemaker , but then the freezer stopped working. We called the warranty company (i think the name is w3)...and by the time they sent someone, the entire fridge stopped working...and the ODYSSEY began! We waited from the first visit on June 15 until Aug 11 For parts! — Because the fridge had apparently required a new ice maker kit and a new inverter board....and it took two months for those to arrive in ottawa. well, after going two months in the summer without a fridge, when the parts finally came in to ottawa the local repairman put them in and discovered that ANOTHER new part was needed. Itturned out that we needed a new compressor. We waited until october 15th for that part! Yes, that means we went the entire summer without a refrigerator! Then the new compressor was put intothe fridge...and within two days, the freezer started making weird buzzing noises....then, within five days, the freezer sections stopped working completely....tonnes of spoiled food and Zero customer service. This thing is more like a cupboard then a fridge. Not onlyhave we had all these troubles,but i wonder if samsung or CAS are really aware of our issues...they certainly put a lot of layers between themselves and their customers. Its like : “look we already sold it to you! We dont need to talk to you again!” ...at least the warranty company and the local repair people are fully aware of the issues but they say “ hey,we didnt build the thing! Take itup with the manufacturer!” And how exactly does one go about that! Other than to complain on a public board!

                                        icemaker needs to be defrosted once a week. very frustrating. probably no more samsung appliances in my future!! wish i could afford a new refrigerator!!
