this is a wonderful refrigerator. beautiful design, easy access, well lit inside. The only problem and it is a big one is the ice maker is poorly designed, leaks and freezes up the storage drawer so it can not be pulled out or opened. For such a great appliance this is a really crappy accessory.

          Beautiful but Poor Quality
          ice maker started leaking before 1 yr of purchase. parts replaced and ice maker worse. leaks, freezes up inside and stops making ice.. solution was to remove the enire back to fix... really???

              Ice Maker Not Working!
              this has been a very frustrating issue. the ice maker started freezing up just after the warranty ran out. now we have no ice at all. samsung sold us unreliable and untested products.

                              Ice Maker Terrible Froze twice in less than a year
                              bought august 2016. ice maker in dec 2018 freezes up under the maker due to overflow issue when the bucket is full. paid $292 to have it replaced only for it to happen again 1 year later.

                                Issue with Ice Maker
                                I bought this product Sep 2018 and it worked great till Oct 2019. Exactly after 1 year warranty is over the ICE MAKER FROZE. It does not work. It makes sound but nothing comes out. Very frustrated about this. Looks like lot of customers are starting to see this issue after the warranty expiration. Very Bad.

                                          We purchased this refrigeratior along with an entire kitchen package with coordinating Samsung Appliances. It was not a cheaper option either but shortly after we received this unit, the ice maker froze up. They sent out a repair tech, replaced a few parts, a week went by and again. The repair tech came again, replaced the bucket and a few more parts . a few months go by, frozen again! Repair guy comes and said there were known issues with something in the ice maker that he was just replacing it all and if it happened again , then Samsung would replace the whole refrigerator. Well I only had 1 week for that issue to arise before my warranty ran out and it froze up about 3 weeks later and it has been doing this about every 3-4 weeks. Freeze up completely , I defrost it and chisel all the ice out and the ice maker still crushes ice even on cubed mode. No wonder home depots website says this is discontinued. I have only had this fridge since November of 2017 and we finished building and moved in on Christmas day 2017. still a total disappointment. this Fridge is going to make a nice cooler in the garage because that's all it does.

                                                  ice maker froze over within a few months requiring it to be replaced; still doesn't work. now it has decided it no longer want to keep food cold. lesson learned the hard and expensive way.

                                                      from the reviews i've read it is no surprise the icemaker has stopped working. it freezes up, we thaw it out and start the viscous cycle over every 3 to 5 days. samsung putting out a recall.

                                                          ice maker freezes over
                                                          From day one the ice maker freezes over and this is a know issue. If I defrost the ice maker and scrape all of the built up ice, it will work for about a week before it freezes over again. They have since discontinued this model. Or Home Depot just doesnt carry it any more. I have bought several Samsung apploances and not had issues before. But this fridge is junk.
