[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in an older house with an older door that has a nonstandard size borehole, and so we have been unable to purchase a deadbolt for the door until we found this brand. We tried re-boring the door hole without success. Then I found an article saying that the SCHLAGE deadbolts can be adjusted to fit the small borehole. It worked all I had to do is remove the ring that protruded off the back of the front of the lock. It simply twisted then came off once it was aligned with the indent. I am sure thankful for this product and to have a lock that works again

So I’m replacing as fast as I can. The old locks are ugly. I had this series in my old house. Worked perfectly for about 20 years. Great quality and tgey wear well.

This deadbolt came missing the metal collar that is used for mounting the latch into a 1" round hole. This is a temporary replacement for another failed Schlage deadbolt until the warranty unit arrives a month after requesting replacement. The clip from that one is being used, however it is damaged from the disk cutter required to remove that lock. I am giving this a one star rating because of the missing part and poor warranty performance from Schlage.

The Single Cylinder Oil-Rubbed Bronze Deadbolt and Doorknobs arrived on time and in perfect condition. They have been installed on the new doors and look beautiful and work perfectly.

Perfect replacement and fit as required.

I’m a big fan of Schlage and their easy install and top tier installation instructions for those who don’t know what they’re doing. I always recommend Schlage deadbolts to friends who are replacing their own locks. I appreciate the extra long (aka safer) screws included.
