The chandelier is a perfect size for the corner in the master bedroom. Have more space since a table lamp is not needed. Electrician installed without any problems. Very happy with results.

This light was easy to assemble and was much larger than I was expecting! It fits my design style perfectly!

The chandelier light is a fairly straightforward installation. The light comes securely packaged and assembly is typical. My only complaint is that the finish on the circular supports seems to be a paper or sticker finish. It wraps around nicely but there are a few spots where you can see bubbles. Once installed and hanging, you won't notice these little bumps. We like the light produced from only three bulbs and it is a subtle focus point above our table.

I got this orb fixture because I loved the style and distressed oak finish which went well with my flooring of the same color. The fixture itself was much larger than I had anticipated (24” diameter x almost 28” high) but still works over my dining table. I kept trying to figure out why there was only 3 feet of chain but after assembling the orb, it’s over 2 feet tall so it had ample chain length for my 8 foot ceilings! I connected the chain link to the light bracket with a hook so that I could connect the wires more easily as this light weighs about 8 lbs. This orb is packaged well with plastic over metal orbs and cardboard between each one. The vertical orbs are pre-attached so you just spread them out and connect the horizontal orb to hold them all in place. This fixture does not come with the 5 candelabra bulbs required. This fixture is dimmable which I really like because 5 bulbs (60watt max) is great for full light but dimming it also creates a nice ambiance if desired. This fixture is also safety listed for damp locations so I’m assuming you can use it for a front porch. All in all, I like this fixture. Make sure the size of this fixture will look proportionate to the room you’re planning to use it in.

Pretty cool chandler. It is a little bigger than I thought but I kinda like it. My wife is not so sure. More than enough light but I think I need to get some LED bulbs. The ground and supply wires are 10 feet long allowing for a very high ceiling. Not too bad to hang but I needed help holding it until I had the wires hooked up. If you use an S hook you can hang the lamp while wiring without help. Just make sure you have all the pieces in proper order over the wires before attempting to hand it. I missed the last nut and had to unhook everything and start over. DUUUHHH!!! But then I hang a light fixture maybe once every 10 years or so.

Despite any minor shortcomings, the bottom line is that this chandelier looks fantastic, much higher than its price point and provides ample lighting. Assembly is only hindered by the somewhat abbreviated instructions that include a single "exploded" parts diagram that is partially numbered according to the worded steps and extraneously includes connections of pieces that come pre-assembled. You will need to save the mounting screws from your existing light's junction box and will also need wire nuts as these are not included. My main take away from assembly is to make sure that you get each candle base plumb/vertical or it will considerably detract from the appearance. I actually installed the light on only a 9 foot ceiling and so only used one link in the included chain. A total of 3 foot of chain is included which can be shortened or a longer chain purchased separately if needed. Roughly 10 ft of wire is included so this fixture could be placed on very high ceilings. Visually the light is very appealing and can fit in with both modern and rustic decor. Each candlestick can support up to a 60W candelabra bulb (not included) and I used LEDs. Edison-style and novelty flicker-flame bulbs would also look great but provide a lower light output. All in all a great lighting option.

I decided to upgrade some of my contractor-grade lighting fixtures and chose the Sea Gull Lighting 5-Light Single Tier Chandelier with Stardust Finish. It comes with a 3-foot chain with electric wire pre-weaved through the chain. It also includes an adapter for mounting to a standard electrical box The global design with metal straps and five torpedo lights in the center creates a unique and modern look for any room. Each light accepts up to a 60 Watt Bulb. On the negative side, the metal straps are thin and like a puzzle to put together. The 3-foot chain could also be longer to accommodate higher ceilings. Overall, this is a good choice for budget-minded buyers wanting to upgrade their lighting fixture to a more modern design..

We purchased a new condo and desperately needed a light fixture to replace a small one that looked tiny against a high vaulted ceiling. This fixture has a nice modern design, and although it is relatively lightweight, takes the appearance of a more substantive fixture due to its “globe” structure (see picture) Because it is not encapsulated by glass, it emits a substantial amount of light and does a nice job of filling the room with a warm feeling. By the same token, we will be adding a dimmer switch to allow us control the mood. The bands of the globe cast a shadow on the ceiling and walls that we thought added an element of interest, although we suppose there may be some folks who find the shadows distracting (see pictures). Installation was very easy. The different components are all pre-wired, and although they are separately packaged for protection during shipping, once the packaging is removed, for the most part the different components simply bolt onto or screw into each other, with the electric cord pre-wired through each component. The chain that suspends the fixture from the ceiling required a couple of pliers to separate one link to complete the installation – but that too was simple to do. A well-illustrated instruction sheet was provided, but we only needed to refer to it once briefly to clarify the setup. Otherwise, installation was intuitive. The fixture is relatively lightweight, making installation on our 14-foot vaulted ceiling less cumbersome than it might otherwise have been if the fixture were large and heavy. We like this light fixture and would recommend it to others who prefer a modern design.

I really like the modern-industrial styling of this 5-light chandelier from Seagull Lighting, which looks amazing hung above the table in my dining room, having replaced a similarly styled “orb” fixture, but smaller with fewer bulbs. Alternatively, it could be used above a center island in a kitchen, in an entry way, hallway, or as an accent piece in a bedroom dressing area. The light was well packaged in an abundance of protective cardboard, Styrofoam and plastic bags, and took several minutes to get all of the parts and pieces out of the box. A fair amount of assembly is required prior to hanging. The vertical bands are pre-installed to the top and bottom of the light with screws that are hidden by a top plate and base plate when assembly is completed, and held in place by a horizontal band. I didn’t notice, but my wife pointed out that then vertical bands are askew and do not properly align so that the bands appear to wrap fluidly around the perimeter of the fixture. The fixture is constructed entirely of metal that is painted to resemble wood and black iron. The lamp uses five bulbs with a candelabra base, which are not included. Each socket will accept a bulb up to 60 watts, for a total of 300 watts, which is a good amount of light output. I installed energy efficient incandescent LED bulbs that use 4.5 watts to produce an output equivalent to a standard 60 watt bulb. An approximately 3-ft chain with a black iron finish for suspending the chandelier from the ceiling is included. Although the chain is only 3-ft, the power cord and ground wire are about 10-ft, which makes no sense since you only need 6 inches of extra wire in the electrical box, and the excess wire will be snipped off and not used. The chain is short as compared to the 5-ft or longer chain typically included with most hanging lamps, so it’s not ideal for offset hanging in situations where the hanger bracket is not centered above the desired hanging location, such is the case with my application. In my case, I needed to purchase a longer chain (available at The Home Depot) in order to hang the fixture. The short chain also may negate use in an entry foyer where a longer chain is required. The wires are pre-laced through the chain, which ordinarily would be a time saver and is usually the most frustrating part of installing a new lighting fixture, however whoever pre-laced the wire on my light skipped the first link, so I had to re-lace the power and ground wires through each link of the chain. The last links in the chain needs to be spread with pliers so you can fasten them to the finials at both ends. Spreading the steel links apart and bending them back together around the finials requires exerting a lot of force, and is a bit of a hassle considering that other lamps at or around this price point feature quick links that unscrew and can be opened and closed without the use of tools. Also, the copper ground wire was very tightly wound and knotted around the power cord wrapped in plastic, making it difficult to undo without causing kinks in the wire. All things considered, this is a very nice light, but there is room for improvement, and the manufacturer should address the issue with the short chain, excess wire and ensure that the wires are wrapped loosely to make it less of a chore to untie and also to avoid kinks.

It was bigger than I expected.there was a decorative screw missing and the maker wanted me to return the whole lamp after it had been installed in a vacation home that was 60+ miles from a Home Depot. Home Depot was helpful in dealing with them.

I bought this light fixture to hang above my kitchen table because I liked the style and thought it was a great value. It turns out you really do get what you pay for. I was disappointed with the cheap quality and frustrated by the difficulty of installation. The installation directions were very minimal. I've successfully installed light fixtures before, but was unable to install this particular one by myself. I've decided to return it for a better quality fixture.
