I don't love this safe, I would have had it not been so damaged......box was beat up, two corners severely dented on my safe. I am questioning integrity of my water proof, fireproof safe.

Its a very nice safe, combination dial is smooth and simple to open. Also nice to have the key, which makes the combination code not work when in lock mode by the key. I initially thought the key overrode the combination dial and would open it, it does not, you need to know the combination to open the safe. I made the mistake of putting the combination numbers into the safe and locked it, thinking later I will remember them to use at a later time when I was not in a rush. I did know 2 of the 3 numbers. To make it short, I called the number on safe and going through security questions, confirming that I was the correct person, email me the code. All is good now.

It has very cheap looks plastic handle. Outside layers doesn’t pressed properly so have crack opens here and there. I asked manufacturer if It’s an issue for waterproof quality. Answer was no for sure. But they won’t take care the issue.

It’s not your your choice if you’re looking for high quality box. It’s okay except they have crack opens here and there since outer covers didn’t pressed seamlessly. See the attached picture. I wish they won’t affect waterproof quality.

Nice, very rugged safe. Seems bigger than 0.8 ft. After I loaded it up with everything I wanted to put in it there still is a lot of room left. It comes with an adjustable shelf and all mounting hardware. The door latches real secure. The locking mechanism is very robust. And it is fire-resistant. I got this for home but would be good for an office or work as well.

This safe is exactly as I hoped it would be. Very sturdy weighing 85 pound and can be mounted to wood flooring or masonry floors. The bolts are included with the safe. Also a unique key locking system that double locks your safe for even more security. Two keys also come with this safe.Note keys do not over ride the combination process by the key use only. You still must open by combination unless you do not turn the dial on the wheel and then just lock and unlock by the key. But I am sure that is not wise as it defeats the purpose of the safe. The dial is easy to operate once you learn your combination. It protects your valuables in the event of fire withstanding temperatues up to 1700 degrees F for duration of an hour. Inside items such as CD'S, DVD'S, memory sticks and USB drives are protected. Memories are worth protecting as they cannot be replaced if destroyed. This safe does that giving us piece of mind. Fantastic quality and a Limited Lifetime After-Fire Replacement Program in the event you would have a fire in your home and this device was damaged. We are pleased and recommend anyone needing a 0.08 cu.ft. safe to give this item a look as I think it will last many many years if it is not abused. Two thumbs up as we are very satisfied with this SentrySafe..

I was looking for a nice safe to keep important documents like passports and stuff in. ALthough this safe is much larger than what I need just for documents it is very handy to keep anything that you need to keep restricted access item in such as a pistol, credit cards, jewelry etc. There is quite a bit of room in this one. It comes with a nice tray that you can put those items like your passport in and they won't get buried in the back of the safe or having to dig through tons of stuff to find it.

This is a pretty solid safe but bigger than I envisioned. It still fits in the secret spot I placed it and has plenty of room inside. It is about 2.5 times the size of a typical hotel room safe. You can find the dimensions in the specification PDF but here they are: Exterior: 13.7 in. x 16.3 in. x 19.3 in. Interior: 9.6 in. x 12.6 in. x 11.5 in. The safe also has .8 cubic feet of space. On the back side of the safe door is several hooks to hang keys which I found convenient. There is also a little shelf on top of the inside of the door where you can put thumb-drives. The tray can be moved but is very convenient for separating materials I received this safe to combine two smaller fire-lock boxes, the suitcase type you slide under your bed. With a growing family, we need more space. I also wanted to protect other precious items and some notebooks. This safe stores about 3x more than the suitcase lock-boxes and can store much larger items like notebooks. It was packaged very well and delivered in great shape. Aside from it weighing nearly 80 lbs, directions and set up were easy. Some things to know about the lock: The key and combo are separate locking devices, i.e. the key will not override the combo lock and vice versa. For my use, I keep it locked with the key and when we are out of town, I lock both the combo and with the key. You are also provided a combo when the safe comes and you cannot change it. The combination dial clicks for every number and provides resistance every once in awhile. I don't believe it is a 'top-notch' combo lock. Securing the safe. Two lag bolts w/ washers are provided along with directions on how to secure the safe into the floor. The directions are only to secure it to the floor, if you secure it to the wall (drill through the sides), you reduce the fire rating of the safe, according to the directions. I secured my safe to 2x4s that are anchored onto a concrete floor. To secure it, you have to drill through up to four marked points on the bottom of the safe. I used a carbide bit to get through the metal. Of note, the directions state that once you drill through the safe, it is no longer rated for "5 inches of water over 24 hours." I caulked the screw holes and area around the washer to hopefully alleviate this.

SentrySafe 0.80 cu. ft. Steel Fire-Resistant Waterproof Combination Dial Lock Safe is a solidly built and heavy at almost 80 pounds. The outside dimensions are 19.3-inches wide, 16.3-inches deep and 13.7-inches high. Inside usable space is 12 1/2-inches wide, 11 1/2-inches deep and about 9 1/2-inches high. It has a factory preset three number combination and a key as additional security with the combination. The key lock must be in the unlocked position before unlocking with the combination. The combination mechanism is smooth and turns easily and the clicks on it are solid. I got the safe to keep important house papers from fire, water damage and theft protection. The papers fit easily on the bottom of the safe flat in folders and there is also a small interior adjustable shelf that can be used to hold jewelry or other small items. On the door are hooks to keep sets of keys and a shelf in the door which is really very small. The instructions say the safe is not recommended for certain items without putting them first in air tight plastic bags. It is not for storing firearms. This is because of the fire retardant material and its also air tight that can trap moisture inside. The safe is well done with a clean look and a large thick bolt hinge on the outside. The door has three dead bolts that slide into the frame, one inch long, that move to keep it from being pried. I can't see how you can quickly pry it open. This safe is primarily to secure documents and valuables and is rated at one hour in case of fire. To keep it from being moved and staying in place, on the bottom holes can be drilled for anchoring it to the floor with provided lag bolts. This I'll be doing when I finish building it into a closet wall that has a concrete floor. If you are thinking of doing this keep in mind its a heavy safe to be moving around repeatedly to make it fit as I found. This is a good size safe, perfect for safeguarding important legal documents in the home or small businesses primarily from disasters and those thief's in too much of a hurry to bother with. Having surprised a cat burglar in the house last year, the police told me they are more the snatch and run types, not those you see in movies. I will be using it for my legal papers and have more peace of mind now that its going in.

Have had issues with the combination and now the key won't unlock

Just what we needed and very easy to use. We are glad we got just a mechanical one and not digital. A very nice size too.

Well built safe. Only comment I have about the safe is the handle seems made of plastic and can be broken easily. Other than that, the safe is what I wanted, needed and at a good price.

Very good safe for the price. I love the way it was easy to bolted to the floor and wall.

I registered this safe, then proceeded to set the combination. Hard to do when instructions say to use provided key and unlock the safe. There was no key in the sealed envelope or in the keyslot in front of the safe. I returned it. Upgraded to a digital safe and will register that one this week.

Instructions are easy to follow. I like the double lock system. Not to big yet big enough.

Will not open! This safe worked, both combination and key. It is now not opening and all of my daughter's medications are now locked inside.

I feel like my personal item will be safe and protected. I couldn’t get a safe deposit box at my local bank, but this decision is much better.

So far so good…have just started using, so have no history to offer. Set up instructions were good, easy to follow
