Th only thing i dont like is it can be difficult to get the tool to grab at first, but once it does it provides a great crimp.

Easy to use and does a good job. I would give it a 5-star rating, except it comes with no instructions for adjusting the tool. A google search came up with a video that covered a few of these tools from the manufacturer, which wasn't too clear on adjusting this one.

Home depot has moved away from the awesome sharkbite version of this tool to a garbage Apollo version. They have the same store SKU number yet the only thing available at the stores in my area was the Apollo version which does not properly calibrate or stay calibrated. The sharkbite version is the only one I would recommend but unfortunately it seems it is no longer available. Home depot needs to remove this version from their website if all they sell is the Apollo tools.

The tool works great, I needed to use a C clamp to close the tool on a 1" clamp, but it works great on the smaller sizes.

works as stated however one must be careful to 1) make sure the crimp ring is positioned properly on the pipe/connector, and 2) when applying the crimper it is a large heavy tool thus the initial contact to make sure the crimp ring is centered within the jaws requires some effort for accuracy. not a good solution for tight places! comes with a template to check proper crimp once completed. if you need to remove the crimp ring... gotta buy another tool that cuts the ring!! overall the PEX system is faster, easier to work with than copper. I personally do not use it where it will be concealed (in walls etc.)... only in accessible crawl space or joist areas... but that is just my personal preference.

Product works well. Was a little tough to use at first. But it got easier the more I used it. I guess they had to get broken in. The more I used it the strength to close it got a little less. Very rugged tool. All said and done no leaks any where. Yes I would recommend this tool to anyone.

PEX is the future. Don't get stuck in the past with copper pipes and soldering connections.

Tool is well built and was simple to use. I was able to repair my plumbing quickly.

Well made tool, that works well, if somewhat difficult to squeeze. It does it's job well, and provides a leak free connection.

Used this tool to finish basement 3-piece bathroom. Tool was relatively easy to use, calibration was correct out of the package, and most importantly all of the fittings sealed perfectly. Used brass Sharkbite fittings. The tool was a bit difficult to use on 3/4" PEX due to the larger opening angle to engage the tool, and also required a lot of force which was awkward when working overhead. Overall great performance, just be prepared to use some muscle if needed.

This was my first run at playing with PEX, I had come home to a couple copper pipes leaking. The pipes were old and corroding. It was time to replace my pipes. This tool gets into tight spaces and clamps multiple sizes of PEX with ease. The Calibration of the tool is very simple and mine was set right out of the packaging. It is very durable and will be around for a while. Overall I'm very pleased.
