Packaging is very good . Assembly is fairly easy . Quality is good , however these are not six foot. The are 5 ft 9 inches exactly. They take stain very well and should age nicely.

We loved the style when we saw it on Home Depot's website as it really matches our Craftsman style home. We got 5 kits and the cedar is beautiful and aromatic. The video makes it seem fairly easy to put together and when we do we will give an update. We love this fence!

First off you need to put everything together, best if you have two people. The parts don't always fit together as they should so you will need a rubber mallet and some long clamps for best results. And you will need to put extra screws into the top and bottom rails or the fence will separate due to the weight. As I mentioned, once put together, the fence looks nice, but, the slats are only 1/2" thick and they warp very easily which leaves daylight between them. They really should be 3/4" for better strength. The test now is to see how long the fence will hold up. If I had to do it again I would order the pre-made 6' or 8' sections already assembled, which is the thicker 3/4" material for the slats, with the traditional lattice pattern.

I saw this product in-store for $89, when I went online-I saw more available options, which I was excited about & the price was $99 (w/ 'free shipping'). I was fine with the price increase as I felt it covered shipping-until I received the product. The product online was TWO feet shorter in length (6ft instead of 8ft) than the in-store product and the wood was split/splintered, irregularly cut and overall poor in quality. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering online from Home Depot, since I cannot rely on the quality or pricing to be consistent.

These panels are beautiful and I think you are getting a good deal for the price. My biggest issue is that these panels are NOT 6ft tall. And that is why I rated this product just 2 stars. The panels are about 5'8. For others this may not be a big deal but for me that is too much of a difference to overlook. And too much of a difference to label this item as "6 ft. H X 6 ft. W Western...." Please advertise this product true to it's real dimensions. If I had known I would have never purchased it.

Easy to put together, cedar looks super! Nice clean lines to the fence as shown on-line.

When we received our four panels one of them was broken, or perhaps a return. The guy I hired to help install the panels was able to fix it but at an expense to me. The other three panels were not in the greatest condition so the same guy helping me had to flip around and adjust some of the pieces of wood in order for it to work properly. The panels look OK now, but I am not happy that I had to Pay someone to fix them. It was too much of a hassle to return so I just made do.

Easy to assemble...looks good...has a great cedar smell. Some of the slat boards which make up the face of fence are less than perfect. I expected them to be thin...but they were even thinner than I anticipated. And there are more knots (and/or holes which used to be knots)...than I'd like. But overall...for what they cost...I'm satisfied. Note: the finished size is not 6' x 6'. It's 6' (w) x 5' 8.75" (h)....I guess the idea is that the panel will sit into a frame...and w/ the frame ...the overall dimensions will reach 6'.

This item was on backorder for couple of weeks and due to the demand, it looks like the company cut corners to get the product out. The screws were out of place, not even drilled through properly, screws were sticking out. Few of the panels were broken apart from the box. Would I reccomend this, no!!!! Pay more and get something else.

Overall quality was not up to par. We orderd fence panel and "matching" gate. They are similar but certainly do not match. that is an issue sine our installation is quite visable from the street. We received the panel KD and assembled immediately. It was ablut another 2 weeks befor actual installation. In that time there was much warpage and it had to be taken apart and rebuilt.. The quality of the decorative strips is very poor and I forsee complete replacement within 3 to 4 years.

Beautiful fencing with top notch quality workmanship.

We had a new fence put in using these panels with cedar posts. It looks great and everyone who comes over comments on it. Better looking than a lot of custom fences at a fraction of the cost. The fact it is made from otherwise discarded wood is an added benefit and good for the environment!

Several months ago, my neighbor and I had to replace a shared fence. We bought 3 of these kits. The assembly directions were clear, parts well identified and fit together well. The first kit took us about 20 minutes to assemble, the next two about 10 minutes each. The fence looks great and is very solid/secure. My wife and I liked it so much that we are replacing our entire fence with this system. I just took delivery of 17 kits and two gates which a friend and I will be installing this week. Highly recommended!

I really liked the way this looked so ordered some, the directions aren't so good and the quality of the wood and the assembly is even worse. Split wood and bent screws, not to mention warped sides and/or top/bottom rails. It's not worth the frustration or the money, this stuff is junk.

I ordered twelve panels all arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition. All the pieces and materials to assemble the fence were there and fit together well. Assembly: The first panel I did went slow, but watching the video helped. I put together all the panels by myself, which was doable but I figure out a couple of tricks, 1. Use a long strap to hold the 6x6 section together after you put the panels and lattice sections in. This allowed me to square it up before I screwed the bottom together. 2. I had a block on the floor against the wall so when I pushed it agains the wall the bottom wouldn't go anywhere while I push the top into square. Most of time they were perfectly square with out doing anything. Just know that you have to be a little knowledgable about woodworking and using the tools needed to put these together. Split one 6x6 section in half, it was a little tricky to do, but it turned out well. Outcome: A lot of people have stopped while walking by, and have commented on how good the fence looks. This was big project, but when I got into the rhythm I could build a panel in 30 minutes or less. The Cedar is good to work with and put together well. We get a lot of strong winds where we live and the fence has held up nicely so far. Overall this is a beautiful, durable product for the money. I would recommend this product if you want a nice up grade in your fence or if you are building new like I did.

One of the panels was broken, but rather than send it back, I just glued it together. The fence panel came very quickly........free shipping added to the great value. It was fairly easy to assemble, and after putting the first panel together, the second when together very quickly. The instructions could have been easy made much better by specifically identifying each piece. Overall, we are pleased with the panels have received compliments on how nice they look. I would recommend them as a great value.

The quality is poor and it looks cheap. I put it together (I am a carpenter) and it is a poor design. The construction is poor so it would not last very long. I returned it.

I recently purchased the Cedar Lattice Fence Kit online at Home Depot. Never in my Life have I had More compliments on my home and fence!!! Such a Great Feeling to walk out of my home head up and so Proud of making my house into a beautiful home for my Wife and I as well as a place my grandkids can come play and admire as they grow when using products like Cedar Lattice Fence from Home Depot. Being a Home Improvement Contractor and former President of an Archery Company, I can tell you the components of the Fence Kit are made to High Standards and the assembly was easy. This product is so manageable that you can easily custom build end panels etc... Cooperation between my Home Depot, Fence Manufacturer along with myself was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! Bought this for a client, easy to assemble, looks great, wish panel lengths were more versitle to cut down smaller, otherwise very happy, will reccomed and use again.

poor quality material, poorly constructed. Customer should not have to spend 2 hours refitting a product in order to make it fit together. I thought we were getting a premade panel just like all the panels outside the store. This is a kit that you assemble at home. Had we known that we would have just gone to the lumber store and bought the material and built it ourselves. I do not recommend these to anyone. The instructions were pathetic.

I am very pleased with the quality but the parts need to be numbered or labeled some way. The video was fine so it was easy to understand how to assemble. The problem is some of the pieces are similar enough it's easy to mix up where they go.

I was looking for attractive panels for several privacy screens. After looking at home center pressure treated panels, mostly warped and too familiar, I stumbled upon these cedar panel kits online at Home Depot. I had no idea what to expect because there were no reviews and I was afraid I might end up with the same things found in stores. But I was very pleasantly surprised. The boxes were delivered on schedule. The cedar smelled wonderful and the sections were made from nice, straight, quality lumber. My first trial setup took a little longer than necessary because the pieces aren't labeled and it takes a little trial and error to figure it out. They could easily label the pieces, and the documentation was Spartan. I recommend you look at the video instructions on the Home Depot site. All the pieces fit together quite well. The panels are unique, well designed and very handsome. These are especially useful for privacy panels or for fencing a small area where a unique design is needed. Highly recommended.
