this staircase angle work well. I did not think the suggested bolts were large enough and bought the next size up for bolting the angle to the stringer. I did use the smaller bolts for the stair tread

Excellent product we are using for a set of stairs to the beach. It will be easy to unbolt worn out/damaged treads and replace them in the future.

For exterior use, wrap w/Grace flashing & fasten w/stainless.

These are perfect for installing wood steps — solid, strong, easy to install and should hold up well. Please note: the first picture showing the installed angle is incorrect. The side with 3 holes is screwed into the stringer and the side with 2 holes is screwed into the step (the angles are labeled accordingly).

I will know more when I start using the stair steps more, but they installed easily ans seem sturdy!

Best concealed stair brackets

very sturdy... saved a ton of time cutting stringers... the best price was at homedepot.com... less than $3...

These make excellent supports. I use them for a stairway to the beach. I replaced some that had began to show signs of rust after 35 years in use.

Used these for a staircase that was made up of 4”x12” lumber on both rails (stringers) along with the step treads. It was the only suitable connector that went along with the Simpson rafter ties at the top of the deck. Very pleased with strong support and stability

Good strong brackets

This is a substantial angle bracket. When you pick it up you will realize from the heft of it. If you are doing stairs use this, not some lightweight version

I'm replacing some outside steps. These were used for the original steps. I'm replacing them all and preferred the heavy duty brackets used by the original builders.

Simpson Strong-Tie products always meet my expectations. Staircase Angles attached to 2x12 in PT lumber using SDS 1.5 inch 1/4 inch screws makes a strong staircase.
