I ordered 14 risers. They shipped me 15. They were all good quality. It turns out I only needed 13 risers, so I returned one (and the extra one) to Home Depot. Home Depot is great at accepting returns of products that were ordered online. Additionally, the shipping is free. Another company wanted over $200 to ship a similar order that included stair treads.

Matched the treads by Stairtek exactly and we are very happy with our purchase.

I got 2. Only problem is they're supposed to be white oak but one of them was red oak so I returned it.

As stated in other reviews, these risers are not a single piece but between 2-3 pieces edge-laminated together. The ones I got were good quality, straight and free of knots. Only complaint is that the pieces that were glued up were not all white oak, there's a couple pieces of red oak in there. Luckily for my project I had to rip them down and so was able to minimize the red oak section. But there was still a clear color difference between the 2 types of wood to an experienced eye when they were finished.

I sent the product back because it was maple and I ordered white oak.

Ordered 3 more than needed and at the end did not have enough to finish my project. 50% of the risers were less than average quality.

I needed this as a sample for finishes. It served that purpose. If I were using it as a riser, I would have been disappointed in the quality. The wood was split and glueing was evident. Not great for the price.

Ordered 10-had to reorder because too many knotholes in the ones that were sent.

Product was not a solid oak board as I needed for my project. Instead it was edge laminated strips. This was not made clear on website listing. Just another example of how retailers try to pass off second rate product by not providing full and complete detailed information up front. Only good point in this disappointment is that local HD store accepted the product back NO QUESTIONS ASKED AND NO HASSLES!!

Overall a very good product but the advertising should show more variation in color

I would highly recommend these oak risers. I was a little nervous about ordering them online because it is hard to send them back if they are warped or bad. I needed 14 total so I ordered enough just so I could get the free shipping. The first shipment arrived and the risers looked great so I ordered the remaining 10 and they also looked great. I would definitely buy these risers again. You can't go wrong with them price best deal around.

This product worked well with the Stair Retread product. Both were wood products. We had some minor trimming to do for fit. We stained them first and then trimmed and glued to the existing stairs. The stain went on evenly and looked really beautiful after wiping the stain off. I love my "new" staircase. Plus it shipped directly to our home.

I bought this piece to go with the stair trends. It is a heavy, thick piece of wood that stains well. In hindsight though, i would have just bought the piece of lumber for less

nice, clean, pretty wood the reason I gave 4 stars is that out of 15 risers, 3 had very slight bows in them, about a 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch

The white oak was of good quality and I did make it work for my needs. However, of two risers and/or pieces of wood one was 3 laminated boards and one was 4. As indicated, I made it work but they weren't used as risers. They back panels on a 1900 buffet.

I ordered 20 of these white oak risers along with treads, cove and the stair measuring tool. Absolutely great quality with every piece and it was free shipping!!! and so fast I couldn't believe it. And I can't say enough how good it makes you feel to see Made in USA stamped on the edge of the treads and risers.
