I have 2 of these. I use one for all truck related accessories -hitch, jumper cables, tow straps, ratchet straps, etc.. The other one I use to keep things I'm transporting dry. Both ride in the bed of the truck. I haven't had any issues with things getting wet inside. The integrated wheels are also really nice and the ability to padlock the box is great.

The Box was good side. Allow me to store nail gun, hand saw and several other misc tools I wanted out of wandering eyes.

I bought one of these about 5 years ago to put my pony harness in. It has held up well! The handles in the side and wheels make it easy to move from the barn to the horse trailer and back again when we get home. Since purchasing, it has traveled all over the states with me to various competitions- from one day events, to 3 day events (CDE). My harness was always safely stored inside thanks to the locking feature, ready to go and protected from the elements. Thru the years of constant use and sometimes slight abuse, (occasionally it traveled in the bed of the truck) it has stood up well. I am replacing it now, only because the plastic around the front handle has finally given way- letting the handle pop off. I will just keep this one in the barn from now on, putting other, lighter things in it- like flowers and jump cups. The only suggestion I can make is that maybe it comes with a removeable tray to toss smaller items in (gloves, snaps, bits, etc.) to keep them from falling to the bottom. Or maybe offer a set of stackable trays to fit inside (mix and match in various sizes) making one of these- the box for all your Odds & Ends? Great product!

This is a very nice light-medium duty storage box at a very reasonable price from HD. At the time I ordered two of these, I couldn't find a better price, but now I see some competitors offering similar pricing. Unfortunately, this item is not stocked in stores, so I had mine shipped to my local store. I don't believe there was a free ship-to-home option at that time, but there is now. After about a 1-2 week wait, my order arrived in-store, and I picked up two large boxes with considerable shipping damage. I should have opened them in the store, because at home I discovered they both had enough damage to warrant returning them. They were scratched up, and one had bowed sides on the bottom half, creating a gap that would allow water to easily enter from the lid. The other one had white areas in one corner: a sign of either plastic strain from a strong impact or just a manufacturing defect. I later confirmed with a store associate that HD uses regular ground shipping like UPS for ship-to-store items, so expect typical UPS treatment. I returned the two footlockers in-store and reordered, hoping that the second delivery wouldn't incur so much abuse. I got lucky--they didn't. Despite the hassle and long wait to purchase these, I'm happy overall with the product. For the price, they are strong enough and offer ample storage capacity. I'm using mine for seasonal clothing, but they are very versatile. I really like the comfortable handle, metal latches, padlock hole, and integrated wheels. It is true that these offer little security, because the rear hinge pins are easily removed, and the plastic could be easily cut around the lock. For my purposes, it is adequate to keep out animals, children, and prying eyes. I also like the fact the these footlockers are designed to stack securely. While it's possible to knock them over, they do interlock enough to prevent slipping. Regarding overall toughness, the strength and thickness of the plastic is merely adequate. I wouldn't trust one of these to haul around a full load of metal tools or to check on an airplane, but for the price they are good enough for home storage and are fairly lightweight. I have an old Contico brand plastic footlocker that I use for tool storage and has been through several moves, and the plastic is noticeably thicker. However, it was more expensive when I bought it many years ago. One negative is that my replacement order of these footlockers also has the same issue where the bottom half bows outward a little on the short ends, which would allow water to easily get inside. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing issue or a shipping issue, but it isn't as bad with this batch. Still, I wouldn't use them in a potentially wet environment. I do wish HD would stock this item. I'm sure they would sell well at under $20 each.

Seem sturdy and plastic appears flexible rather than stiff so I like that it will likely not crack easily. Perfect fit for overseas luggage dimensions. No complaints!

Excellent product, I used these in lieu of the typical cardboard boxes when moving house, well worth the buy.

Very nice, meets my expectations.

Nice box, reasonably priced, roomy, hinged latching lid is great. Stays in place pretty well in the back of the SUV, some sliding around but not bad. For me, a good car tool box.

The dimensions were accurate and greatly appreciated. The locks work great and it rolls great. It's fit my needs and is small enough to fly with as regular luggage

My wife purchased one of these Footlocker stroage Boxes for camping gear. I liked them so much I ordered 4 more. they are very roomy/water tight/can be locked/and they are stackable/plus lightweight.. Construction: these are made very well. And the price can't be beat. I recomend them to everyone....................AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-rateing.

Good footlocker for indoor storage - reasonably durable (don't sit on it) suggest a lock with a longer hasp so it's easier to unlock. My only disappointment was that I ordered two of these and one arrived missing the hinge pins so I had to send it back and order a replacement. Otherwise, I would have rated this higher. This would be good for kids at camp, storing items at work, or storing items in your garage.

This will work nicely for when my son goes camping with the Boy Scouts. Thanks.

I bought 4 of these to pack my son for college. They were perfect. They hold lots of stuff and fit nicely under his bed.
