It works well and provide adequate unlimited hot water for a two stories 2000sq ft 2.5 bath house. Only the drawback is you might have to upgrade your power breaker box to provide electric power to the unit.

Just had this installed and am very happy with this purchase. With the temp set to 130, the water comes out nice and hot! In my last home I installed an ECOsense and with the temp set to 140 I only had warm water. Same with the hot water tank in my new house! This was a great buy!

This tankless water heater really performed. Primarily purchased to replace an older tank water heater. The primary objective was to be able to fill a huge jacuzzi tub with hot water. The old 40 gallon tanked water heater could not accomplish this task. The Stiebel Elton did it beyond expectations. Love the flow control of the plus system.

So far so good, small foot print. Initial installation can cost more due to additional wiring.

PLAN AHEAD! Got one to free up space in our 1100 sq ft condo. The old tank unit was under the stairs. Condo is electric only, no gas, so limited selection. Also required 2 30 amp circuits. Changed out nearby washer/dryer for an all-in-one that runs of 110 and were able to move that circuit over. Some units require 40 amp circuits. Takes about 45 seconds for kitchen sink water to heat, 90 secs upstairs shower, limited pressure elsewhere when shower is running, but no biggie.

I installed this together with a soft water system. All worked well and plumber had no issues. We have 3 full bathrooms. Set at 120, water runs pretty hot. No issues with water pressure either. If you don't mind waiting a bit for hot water this tank does the job. Worst here is about 1 minute and only in 1 bathroom.

Selected this model as an upgrade from our last one (also a Stiebel), we had home depot install it, and we couldn't be happier.

Love this product. Never run out of hot water. Save on water bill with no tank to fill. Save on electricity bill. Performs excellent.

We replaced a traditional hot water heater with the Stiebel. We were worried the old heater would burst and flood our house. We love this tankless heater. No noise. You would never know it is in the hall closet. Hot water on demand should be the only option for houses. I love it.

The Stiebel Eltron Tempra 24 Plus has and is working according to the manufacture's claims. Although, the unit has only been in use for about a week, the installation was easy and the instruction manual very informative. Customer service representatives (Chris in Vermont) have had a very long relationship with Stiebel Eltron and are very knowledgeable of their products. Three things to plan for during installation. 1) YEARLY FLUSHING. 2) HARD WATER FILTRATION. 3) WATER ISOLATION FOR FLUSHING AND FILTER CHANGES.

The installation of the unit on the wall was super easy just find your studs and get to hanging. I called an electrician to do the electrical work simply because the warranty is void without the pro. Well, the pro installed it incorrectly at first but came back out the same day got on the phone with Steibel to get her working. He forgot the 2nd 30 amp. As for the water, it gets hot immediately in the kitchen and takes about 2 minutes to heat fully the bathroom about 60 feet away. Good purchase

We decided to take a chance on an electric tankless water heater to replace our failing propane water heater in our rural location. So far, the water heater is working well. We live in Northern Utah and the winter water temperature coming into the house is 46 degrees Fahrenheit. We can run two showers at the same time and with our low flow shower heads, the water heater can keep up. Just don't expect it to keep up with body sprayers, etc. in a situation like ours. At 118 degrees Fahrenheit, it takes a bit longer to fill up a bathtub than with our traditional tanked water heater, but that is not a big issue. We have a 200 amp service and the lights dim slightly when the water heater kicks on. There is no flickering, just a slight dimming. This appears to be expected since this is an older home that we had upgraded to 200 amp service. Our wiring, etc. was inspected due to the panel upgrade. It does save a lot of space in the utility room, which is nice. We have yet to check whether we will see any cost savings since it has only been installed for a couple of weeks. The propane water heater was 15+ years old and kicking on several times a day while making kettling sounds. This water heater is only used when we shower or wash dishes in the sink, and is dormant most of the time. With the increase in propane prices, the cost of propane rivals what we are paying for electricity when performing a Kw conversion.

After learning that our 17 year old water heater began leaking while we were on vacation, I starting checking on having it replaced. Plumbers were saying 3-4 weeks to get to my job. I then decided to research tank less heaters. I settled on Stiebel Eltron after reading many reviews and feeling confident that I could install it myself. The day following our arrival home, I started on the project. After 6-8 hours and three trips to the hardware we again had hot water. So far, we love it.

Love my new tankless water heater. My previous tankless took 5-8 minutes to get water hot. Now it's less than a minute anywhere in the house.

Installation of the unit was very easy. Vendor support line was OUTSTANDING. Unit was able to provide hot water for 7 showers prior to College Game Day and Sunday "recovery".

This tankless water heater provides a good hot water flow but does not takes up little space.

Why did I wait so long to get one endless hot water the size of a suitcase. Go tankless asap & stop the wait for hot water. Saves energy too

I installed this unit in August of 2019 (one year ago) and it is one of the best investments I've made since purchasing my condo. This unit replaced a 30 gallon electric tank water heater from the early 1990's which was not providing enough hot water for a bath or for two people to take showers. The tank had not been maintained so there was significant sediment which degraded the performance. The tank was installed in a cabinet near the breaker panel. The tank was a very tight fit--it's doubtful the anode was ever replaced as there was no headspace. After researching tankless units and consulting an electrician this model was the one recommended and for my application is the best solution. Our winter water temperature is 42 degrees F (southern Minnesota) and I had a limit to the electrical load so this unit is the largest I could install with those restrictions. From the photo you can see I am also limited to a small cabinet that used to hold the 30 gallon tank heater. This installation is in a condo with four fixtures that use hot water: a kitchen sink, lavatory sink, dishwasher, and shower/tub. This application has very short pipe runs--there is no recirculation pump for hot water or pipes inside exterior walls. The most difficult task was finding a plumber to install it--I called four reputable local ones and while their websites sold tankless units, the plumbers dispatched to estimate the job were all more keen to install a tank. I had to do a lot of research and speak with my local inspector to confirm that this could be installed; I found those with experience with tankless units (the inspector, electrician, and one plumber) knew a lot more about installation than those that just stuck to tank-type installations (the rest of the plumbers). Specific to the Stiebel Eltron Tempra 15 Plus--the "Plus" is necessary as it has a valve to regulate flow to maintain temperature and is unique to this brand. The installation and instruction booklet were well written, the unit has a clean appearance, and controls are simple to use. I do wish this had a remote display as it would be helpful to see the flow statistics from a better angle but I am limited to seeing the display where the unit is installed (inside a high cabinet). The interior construction is solid (a lot of copper) and straightforward--my electrician had no problem connecting it and it powered up right away. As for use, the water in a nearby faucet takes about 30-45 seconds to flow at the setpoint of 116F which is similar to what the tank unit performed at. Because the unit is tankless, there is no limit to the quantity of heated water. The unit is silent but in the winter if I'm filling the bathtub I can faintly hear the valve regulate the flow to maintain the outlet temperature of 116F I have the unit set to. The cabinet where the unit is installed has plenty of room to leave a flush kit in it and already had a drain (PVC pipe to vertical stack) from the former heater's TPR valve which the drain pan was plumbed onto. A big word of caution is that proper sizing a tankless unit is critical to your application and lifestyle--this unit is ideal for my application but in a house with several lavatories or a clothes washer it would be underpowered. I provided the electrician I hired with the spec sheet for this unit and he confirmed it would serve my needs--the vendor can also offer help in selecting the right unit. Tank-type units are more common in the U.S., often a little cheaper, and are simpler devices--since most homes come with one installed it's an easy choice to swap out one item that worked with a similar one--but in some applications a tankless unit is a smarter replacement. I don't have the measuring equipment in my home to see if this unit is saving me electricity over the 30-gallon tank unit--I haven't seen my electric bill go down significantly--this could be my usage habits as I no longer need to be concerned about running out of hot water.

Installed myself...it was easy...there are videos on YouTube if your not sure..this unit works Great...we have used for 3weeks now..zero issues..the kitchen is about 45'away and master bath is about 65' away and we had kitchen sink going, dishwasher going and master bath going and had plenty of hot water!!!..make sure to install flush valves on the unit so you can clean it once a year..there are videos on YouTube for that as well..just search flush tankless water heater...or install if you want to see those videos..Great product...well made!!!..I added an additional water filter just because ..you don't have to do that as the unit already has a filter built into it....but I just wanted to!!!...highly recommend..they have the best warranty as well !!

Works really well. Run two showers at once and definitely keeps up. I am located in south Texas so water temps are 75 and above. Is a German made water heater which was populate prior to being in tankless heaters coming to the states. Well built easy install. Need two double pole 50 amp breakers and 8/2 wire for install. Love it so far.

We have had this installed for over a year now to provide hot water to one shower and two sinks (bathroom and kitchen). Great space saver compared to a lowboy 30gal hot water heater. It has worked flawlessly and the heat adjustment knob is awesome. Doesn’t take long to start having hot water. You do need a 50amp breaker with this unit in your panel. Thinking about replacing our 50gal tank with another one of these.

We replaced two electric water heater tanks with this one on demand unit. Been a very cold winter so far here in Halifax and no issues with it supplying hot water. Haven’t seen a power bill yet to compare but hopeful for some savings. Love the peace of mind of no water tank to fail and leak and the gained room by eliminating the tanks. Gives us two extra storage spaces. Very easy to install. Plumbed it so it can easily be flushed with vinegar to remove any scale buildup that may develop.

So long as you are using >.5gallons per minute, it works great. However, apparently this model and any whole house model is not able to heat water flowing at less than a half gallon per minute. What that functionally means is that it is impossible for us to get water from a regular sink faucet that is: Lukewarm, warm but not flowing full blast, or hot but only flowing a little. This is super annoying and should be explicit in the product details. Steibel cust support confirmed this is by design

Nothing better than a long hot shower that never gets cold!! It was a little difficult to install because we were switching from a big tank water heater to the tankless but it was worth all the hard work in the end. I had heard mixed things on these heaters but I had to find out for myself. I was a little worried that it would make my power bill go away up, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Works great and can’t tell a difference in my power bill at all. Lovin’ instant endless hot water!
