Before use, make sure you get the specs for your chain (pitch, angle, depth) and take the time to set it up correctly. The sharpening goes quickly. Did one chain very quickly. Tested the chain on some small trees that died during the winterstorm in february. The chain was sharpened and provided a clean cut. Beats having to sharpen with hands and plus it is very portable!

Setup is very easy and it sharpens like a dream! The fact that it is battery powered is great so you can take it anywhere. Quality of this is pretty average but good for what it is used for.

The sharpener works very well. It was very easy to set up and use. You don’t even really need to mount it ,just hold it in a counter which is a pretty cool feature. Small & light, it can go in the field and be used on a tailgate in a pinch as well as any other level surface. Chain tilts a little when wheel grinds it, but it’s super easy to correct. It’s made well but shouldn’t be thrown around. Super alternative to large bulky sharpeners. I am very happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked this up because i was tired of sharpening my chains with a file, after setup this thing works great and every tooth has the same sharp edge, no more guess work on if they are all the same, took a couple minutes to set up but was it was set up and mounted worked out great, i sharpened 6 chains and still seems as if the battery has plenty of power to do another 6 maybe,only thing i wish this would do but don't is allow you to sharpen the chain without having to pull the chain off the saw because sometimes that can be a job to get the chain off with all the extra covers and safety mech's they put on some of these newer saws, but still a great product!

The battery charged quickly and the unit itself is very easy to use and lightweight. It was easy to line up the chainsaw chain and it seemed to sharpen each tooth of the chain. It was a very quick process and the box comes with everything you need. We used the chain shortly after sharpening it and was very impressed with how sharp the chain was. Great product to have on hand.

Broke after using it for one week and had to go buy a different one
