Can’t take the pressure
My new puppy. chewed my bird bath dripper hose and this sounded like a great way to repair it. I double wrapped And triple wrapped the section that needed repair. I could actually HEAR the “pop” where the tape broke. It didn’t come loose - it actually popped. I snapped a photo which shows the water spraying through the broken tape.

It sticks to itself as noted. I used it to wrap a muffler pipe after I sealed the hole with high temperature RTV.

    Depends on application
The tape does adhere to itself, the key to this product is to use one piece in a circular motion overlapping the previous turn and stretching as much as possible. In my application I could not get full turns around a radiator inlet making it difficult to get full strips. So I had to use smaller strip. It did slow down the leak but time will tell if it forms a proper seal. The price is worth a shot.

      Have a Prosthesis?
If you don't have a prosthesis then you don't have any idea what a total ripoff this business is. I have a prosthetic leg that requires a liner and sleeve. You need to replace these about twice a year. If you go to your prosthetist they will charge you $3400 to replace them. You can buy them online for about $200. The problem is that you have to tape the bottom of the sleevce on the prosthetic and you can't buy this "special tape" anywhere and if you could it would be about $125 for 10' which would do your leg maybe twice. This Fuse Tape is beyond awesome! It stretches and only sticks to itself and that bond is huge! This tape works way better than the "Special" crap they overcharge you for. Love it!

      I love this tape
Great stuff. It stretches and conforms to all sorts of contours. It's important to understand that it has no adhesive and only sticks to itself. This is due to some sort of chemical bond, I suppose. In any case once it sticks to itself for a little while, it virtually becomes one fused piece. Everyone should have this silicone tape in their home, because it's good for certain emergency repairs as well as cases where you just want to wrap something up without getting adhesive all over it.

      This tape is amazing!
Self-fusing tape is a near miracle of function...as it sticks to itself but not to other things. The material is very stretchy, and once wrapped onto itself under tension, it sticks permanently. The difference between enough tension to stick, and breaking the tape is a pretty fine edge, so be careful when applying the tension. Gradually increasing the tension is the right technique. The seal is airtight and watertight, and very robust.

      Very useful...
The Super Glue 1" Black Easy Fuse Silicone Tape is a very useful and versatile product. It is made by the Original Super Glue Company. Also, it is Made in the USA. always a plus! It can seal both wet and dry leaks, so is good for plumbing, marine use, and emergency weatherproofing. It adheres to itself so is especially good wrapped onto itself. It makes a permanent bond. My only negative is that it is packed in a 10 ft. roll.

E-Z Fuse- to itself. Made in USA. So-So.
Durable stretchy thin, 0.02" thick un-stretched, sticky black tape that doesn’t stick to anything but does very well to itself. Selected for general DIY use. Tape was so-so for a weeks use, likely will improve with use. First- pinhole leak in light weight well used garden hose. Cleaned hose with alcohol, let dry, applied tape as instructions state, let cure for over 24 hrs. Leaked as much as before except from under tape at end. Wound tight w/ over 2” past sides of pinhole. Under pressure hose swells larger then taped area but doesn’t seal. 90 PSI and old weak hose that expands under pressure so maybe flexes too much, expecting too much from tape? Did seal fine on washing machine discharge hose, extension cord insulation repair and an auto vacuum hose leak. E-Z Fuse Tape is probably handy for low pressure leaks and emergency use, drains, wood tool handles, etc. Trying to apply while unrolling the clear plastic strip separating tape on roll, not shown in product images, is slightly awkward, cutting tape and removing strip is easier but leaves guessing amount needed & tape tends to stick together but can be pulled apart- bit of a learning curve to apply. Not sure it will do all its stated too without adhesion to things. Not overly impressed in first weeks use but will keep a roll & recommend, this economical Made in USA Super Glue product in the DIY tape & adhesive bucket believing with use performance will be better under pressure like it is on low pressure & other repairs. Seems like might become a versatile handy item with use.

Great Fix for a Minor Leak
The E-Z Fuse Tape is a great product. It is made in the U.S.A. I've used it for small water leaks, but it's also good for electrical wires, handle wraps and other misc things. The tape bonds with itself, so there is a clear film on the tape to prevent it from binding to itself on the roll. I had a connection leak on the water line to the icemaker, so I wrapped with this tape while it was leaking. It stopped the water from leaking, but you do need to remember to stretch it tightly when you are wrapping the leak. If you don't stretch it tightly, the tape will bubble from the pressure of the leak. The tape bonds to itself, but not to the item, so you must always overlap on the tape and finish the tape on itself to make the bond. I used this on a leak in my above ground garden sprinkler and it worked great. Even though it will work on a wet surface, I would always try to dry the surface first. The tape is flexible and works well on uneven shapes. It also resists weathering, salt water and UV rays.

Not Quite Sure About Water Applications
This Super Glue 1 inch E-Z Fuse silicone tape has lots of potential across many different project needs. It's got a bit of stretch to it to help it adhere well but stops stretching and keeps a minimum width and thickness for good coverage and protection. It's suited for electrical insulation and is also rated for pressurized water applications (like a leaky hose). I tried it on a leaking hose fixture and the tape adheres well to itself and stays strong, but its letting a little bit of water leak by. It's a funny shaped fixture, so I may need to extend the tape completely over the fixture to where the hose presents a uniform surface to see if it completely stops the leak. I also used it to wrap an extension cord connection to protect from pulling apart and to help weatherproof it. Looks like a great use for the tape.

A handy multi-purpose tape, easy to use.
This tape stretches and adheres to itself as you wrap it around a pipe, a tool handle, or whatever. It can seal a leaking pipe. It can insulate wire connections. It can make a new grip on a tool handle. The tape fuses to itself where it overlaps, making a permanent seal. It stretches to cover a curved or irregular surface. I wound it around my market umbrella shaft four times at the end of the shaft and just below where the shaft sits at the top of the umbrella stand, and this made the shaft and umbrella not wobble, for the shaft at 1½” was too small for the stand’s pipe at 1¾”. This is a handy multi-purpose tape, easy to use.

      It works!!!
Our garden hose sprung a leak and I hate to throw something away that could be fixed. So, I thought I would try to fix it with this 1-inch-wide E-Z Fuse Silicone Tape. This roll of tape is 10 feet long which is more than adequate for this job, and it’s very inexpensive if I need more of it. The tape was easy to apply by wrapping layers of this tape around our garden hose. So far, the hose is not leaking any more, and I’m very happy with that!!! My husband has used this product for years and recommends it. Made in the USA.

      Works as advertized
This is the first time I've used this type of tape. It was easy to apply and I immediatly used the hose (see photos) after applying the tape with no issues whatsoever. The tape has a fairly sticky feel (like soft rubber) and that may be useful if you want to add grip to a tool handle. For low pressure uses it works well. I have not tried it for anything like temporarilly repairing a water pipe, etc.

      Perfect Super Glu Tape
Excellent professional quality tape that can seal leaks, is waterproof and creates an airtight seal. You can also use it for insulation up to 8,000 volts, so great for working around your car for air hoses that leak. It stays flexible and isn't affected by weather. You will need to wrap this around so that it sticks to itself (like around a garden hose), or a piece of PVC. Best applied to dry clean surfaces.

If you need a waterproof, water-tight tape, this is it. I use it to add extra padding and grip on my water-skiing handle and to repair cracked hoses on our pool cleaner. If you've never used E-Z Fuse before, here's a tip: It doesn't have a sticky side - it adheres to itself, and when it does, it won't let go. So it's helpful to have another set of hands as you wind the tape around whatever you are trying to fix. It DEFINITELY works, and lasts a long time (my last water-ski handle taping lasted three years, and we ski year-round in Texas).

This stuff is legit! I bought some to mend a radiator/water hose on my 4th gen 2006 4runner when heater hose sprung a leak and was losing coolant. I needed something to get through a few days while the new hose was being delivered. I put the tape on last night, and as of my drive this morning.....it's still on there........nice and tight, no leaking! Coolant reservoir still full. The tape is very tough, and you can cut strips of it, then apply it with varying amounts of pressure. The more you stretch it, the tighter the seal. It has NO messes, just naturally sticks to itself. It can be put on extremely tight. I had never heard of silicone tape, but this stuff is really tough I and glad I used it.

        Good for difficult repairs
I applied E-Z Fuse Tape to a vacuum hose that had broken open and was held together by only the spiral wire that was enclosed by the plastic/rubber hose wall. The two ends were attached by the spiral wire, but they were six inches apart. We had tried to repair the hose with two or three different brands of duct tape, and package tape, but it kept coming apart. The flexibility and the fusing characteristics of E-Z Fuse Tape seemed appropriate for this repair. I cleaned off all the duct tape and package tape residue with Goo Gone. After cleaning off the residue with Goo Gone, I cleaned both ends of the hose thoroughly with alcohol, two times. Then I dried off the alcohol. Then I applied the E-Z Fuse Tape, following the directions and overlapping half of each turn with the prior turn while stretching it slightly. It conformed to the bumpy surface of the vacuum hose, and I put two layers over both ends of the hose while my wife held the two ends together as they should be when repaired. This was tricky, and a couple times I had to peel back the E-Z Fuse Tape separating it from itself where I had misplaced it. I finished my second wrap and at the end stretched it only slightly as directed. Then I squeezed the repair up and down, happy to see it conform to the irregular surface of the vacuum hose. Our hose looked better, like one hose rather than two hose pieces. Then I waited 24 hours for it to fuse, as directed. The E-Z Fuse Tape had indeed fused to itself, and my vacuum hose looks repaired, back in one piece. I hope that the repair is permanent. The flexibility, stretching and fusing characteristics of E-Z Fuse Tape enabled me to make this difficult repair and save a vacuum hose that would cost $75 to replace. This tape works for repairs.

Did NOT work. Would NOT stick on item.I tried to mend a hose and it would not wrap around and stick when the hose was dry. I tried again when it was wet with the same "no stick" results.

Bought it to repair a bad pvc pipe connection, I think if it were just a straight piece of pipe, it might have worked, but it was a connection, so i wasnt able to wrap it tight enough to stop the leak. You really have to stretch this stuff to its maximum when dealing with water pressure, otherwise it bonds to itself, but not really to pipe.
