The veneer is incredibly thin - next to impossible not to tear or peel, even with a new blade and exercising extreme caution. The core is also quite soft. Your screws will not seat tightly. Instead they will continue turning even when bottomed out. I would only purchase this as scrap for experimenting with new techniques and designs and not for projects you intended to keep.

I've used this product for several different projects and haven't experienced anything like all the trolling on here. I suspect complainants either didn't take the time to select the sheets personally or expected $300/sheet Baltic Birch for $90 at Home Depot. I've never had delamination, warping, voids (it's not void-free, but 99% so...), and you'd have to sand alot, irresponsibility, to go through the veneer. My 2 cents in light of all the negative reviews.

For example I needed some 17in x 47in panels for shelving. I roughed the first cuts to 18in x 48in and trimmed them down to final exact size. Then I cut and squared them off to final size by taking 1/2in off each side. When holding the 1/2in trimmed off pieces up to the light you can see how many long unconnected ( voids ) plys that were not connected to the next ply. You can take those small pieces and crumble them between you fingers. Bottom line the wood is the worse and can't be trusted because many of the plys are not even glued together. Shame on HD for selling such C$$P to your loyal customers.

I bought the birch plywood sheet from my Home Depot store and it was of very good quality.

Just a warning that some HD won't cut this plywood due to the coating on it. I wasted over an hour of my time picking out plywood with good edges, and confirming with the lumber staff that they would cut it. When I loaded it onto the cart and took it to the saw, the operator there said they can't cut anything with a coating on it. Really wasted a lot of time.

Fairly good quality. Just wish they would keep it on hand and easier to access. Also would be great if they would stock the prefinished 1/4".

Very disappointed. Vaneer layers easily split and outside veneer breaks off in chunks during cutting.

Tears apart and there are voids throughout plywood.

Easy to find. Had them cut it into pieces for me. The one who cut it for me was very nice and helpful.

Great finish and easy to work with but still has a lot of hollow pockets, so 4 stars for quality.

Lots of voids. Plus one has to be on the HD employees to be careful not to scratch it up while handling.

Very nice product for shelves or furniture or whatever. Both sides are finished and need no other finish except varnish? Warning label comes with each board. Wear a mask when cutting. Cuts very nice with very little splinters with a good blade.

I was hoping for a better grade with no voids. However it did serve its purpose and the finished product is acceptable.

Let me know when the price gouging ends on wood, I'd like to finish some projects. This plywood has a very thin veneer but at the original price, it was worth the cost.

The veer although looks good is so thin, even cutting the wood severely damages the finish.

Plywood was very scratched causing some of it to be unusable. Also there were voids where the ply's came apart. I like the multiple ply's of the product, has a nice look when sanded and finished.

I bought 10 sheets of this thinking it would be similar to material that I bought in 2018 that also was 10 layers however it was unfinished. Big mistake. It's more work. The finish is easy to scratch and get scuffed. it is not so easy to repair. the outer veneers are super thin and the finish makes it brittle so the edge catches on things and chip off. And you have zero options for staining, and if you want to glue... better sand through the finish first. finished plywood? Bad idea. Never again.

I purchased 3 sheets of this plywood and expected it to be of higher quality because it is for making cabinets. Unfortunately, there were sanding marks all over the veneer from the manufacturing process and along one edge the veneer was delaminating. I also expected the edge profile to clearly show all 10 layers shown in Home Depots picture, which is what is expected from a high quality plywood. The layers in the plywood I purchased were hardly distinguishable, only had a max of 7 layers and had wood filler in a lot of areas. Please don't show a product picture if it doesn't match the actual product being sold.

Quality plywood with minimal voids. Used this to make new kitchen cabinets and it worked out great. Will certainly repurchase.

Great solid working platform. I need smooth finish lumber and this one was the smoothest of all available.

It was a decent option, when it was under $50, but now it's just useless, refuse to buy it until price drops!

This plywood is garbage. Trash wood layers inside with little glue causing delaminating and warping after cutting. I would not recommend this product.
